The United Corporations of Acarodia is a massive, efficient nation, ruled by Caleb Brandeton with an iron fist, and remarkable for its conspicuous electricity pylons, frequent executions, and digital currency. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, humorless population of 1.645 billion Acarodians are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

The tiny, corrupt, pro-business, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Industry, and Law & Order. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Araxus City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 4.3%.

The frighteningly efficient Acarodian economy, worth 385 trillion credits a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Retail industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Uranium Mining. Black market activity is notable. Average income is an amazing 234,455 credits, but there is a vast disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 2,021,269 per year while the poor average 4,510, a ratio of 448 to 1.

Freighter lifeboats have been replaced by state of the art marker buoys so divers can recover the cargo after they sink, the poor are forced into bankruptcy by their energy bills, it is customary to begin the summer with a fasting ritual in which people eat nothing but kumquat smoothies, and consumption of cat memes has skyrocketed. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Acarodia's national animal is the salamander, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is atheism.

Acarodia is ranked 100,699th in the world and 1,044th in the West Pacific for Lowest Crime Rates, with 67.85 law-abiding acts per hour.
