Aerna varsa Shalour, the National Anthem/Personification of Aeritania

Aerna varsa Shalour is the name of an epic poem written just after the unification of the Aeritanian islands. It is totally fictional account of the exploits of a great heroine named Aerna varsa Shalour, or Aerna of the Sea, and it is based loosely on legends of ancient heroes that survived into the then present. It is the first work written in Reconstructed Aeritanian, and was written to popularize the language. The writer was anonymous, and most historians believe it was a propaganda piece written by the government in their eternal quest to culturally unite Aeritania. The character of Aerna became the national personification of Aeritania, and part of the poem was adapted into the national anthem, which bears the same name.
