The Free Land of Akabusi is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, renowned for its frequent executions, sprawling nuclear power plants, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic, humorless population of 12.998 billion Akabusians live in a state of perpetual fear, as a complete breakdown of social order has led to the rise of order through biker gangs.

The minute, corrupt, liberal, pro-business, outspoken government, or what there is of one, is effectively ruled by the Department of Industry, although Education is also considered important, while Law & Order and Environment are ignored. Income tax is unheard of.

The frighteningly efficient Akabusian economy, worth a remarkable 6,008 trillion Derek Redmonds a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Retail industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Gambling, and Soda Sales. Average income is an amazing 462,272 Derek Redmonds, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 1,677,722 per year while the poor average 90,716, a ratio of 18.5 to 1.

The family summer vacation has become a thing of the past following the introduction of the year-round school year, many believe that Leader's head is big enough for the sun to orbit around it, labour strikes are routinely squashed by police, and bris parties are all the rage. Crime, especially youth-related, is so common that it is unusual to encounter someone following the law, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Akabusi's national animal is the Roger Black, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

Akabusi is ranked 406th in the world and 15th in the Rejected Realms for Highest Average Incomes, with 462,272.39 Standard Monetary Units.
