Military

The Arengin Armed Forces or AAF for short consists of 4 branches. The Army, the Regional Navy, Air Force, and Special Operations Command.
These branches work in cooperation with each other in order to achieve maximum efficiency. Although the SOC is known for operating under the table in most cases.

The AAF is a large and capable force of over 4 million active troops and 6 million in reserve, with 200 million fit for service. The AAF is capable of large scale operations as well as reconstruction and keeping things under a careful ordered system. It's capable of deploying thousands of troops very quickly, thanks to its modern and fast transport system.

The army has over 2 million active troops. With some 300,000 extra acting as military police. Its basic purpose if the defense of Arengin, its people, and sovereignty, both home and abroad if necessary. The mobile infantry, armor, and heavy armor all serve under this branch.

The air force has 400,000 active troops. It consists of many kinds of planes, bombers, large cargo and transport aircraft, jets of all types, among other aircraft.

The Navy has only 450,000 active troops. It consists of several aircraft carries, destroyers, small to medium sized frigates, cruisers, and PT boats, along many floating rescue and attack planes.

The SOC holds only 200,000 active troops, or agents. Rest of details are classified.

Compulsory service is a big part of Arenginian society, both for cultural and nationalist ideals. Young men at the age of 18 must sign up and serve at least 3 years in the AAF, either as full time soldier, career, or reserve. Women can sign up to the draft but it is optional. Not signing up means a fine of over 10,000 Aren Dollars to 5 years of jail time.

Further info is Classified.
