The Armed Corporations of Aurora Islands is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, ruled by General John Westmoreland with an even hand, and notable for its pith helmet sales, compulsory military service, and conspicuous electricity pylons. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic, humorless population of 28.411 billion Auroraians are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The tiny, corrupt, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Industry, and Law & Order. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Aurora City. Income tax is unheard of.

The frighteningly efficient Auroraian economy, worth an astonishing 26,203 trillion golden dollars a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Retail, and Soda Sales. Average income is a breathtaking 922,283 golden dollars, but there is a vast disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 8,638,493 per year while the poor average 8,298, a ratio of 1,041 to 1.

School lockers are filled with fancy underwear, pausing for applause during a speech is seen as a form of censorship, terrorist videos start by thanking their sponsors, and a life spent suffering in silence is considered noble. Crime is totally unknown. Aurora Islands's national animal is the golden hummingbird, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

Aurora Islands is ranked 177th in the world and 1st in Commonwealth of Liberty for Most Politically Apathetic Citizens, with 94.45 Whatever.
