The Kingdom of Bagong Luzon is a gargantuan, efficient nation, ruled by King Ferdinand II with an iron fist, and renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape, public floggings, and sprawling nuclear power plants. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, humorless, devout population of 13.362 billion New Filipinos are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The relatively small, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Manila. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 8.5%.

The frighteningly efficient Filipino economy, worth a remarkable 5,754 trillion Pesos a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Uranium Mining, and Retail. Black market activity is rampant. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is an amazing 430,629 Pesos, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 1,565,712 per year while the poor average 84,269, a ratio of 18.6 to 1.

Red Cross demand for body bags is rising while sutures go unused, the "temporary replacement bus service" is now a permanent fixture, prison libraries are being replaced with interrogation chambers, and protestors are soaking piles of Pesos in blood to make a point about government incomes. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Bagong Luzon's national animal is the Carabao, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its national religion is Roman Catholicism.

Bagong Luzon is ranked 42,260th in the world and 1st in Codex Philippinensis for Most Stationary, with 1,046.54903854152 days.
