The Most Serene Republic of Boredom is a colossal, orderly nation, renowned for its burgeoning sloth population. The cynical population of 7.179 billion Brats are ruled with an iron fist by the socialist government, which grants its people the freedom to do whatever they like so long as it doesn't involve getting richer than anybody else or challenging the government.

The medium-sized, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 30.1%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but inefficient Brat economy, worth 195 trillion deniers a year, is quite specialized and led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Trout Farming, and Beef-Based Agriculture. Black market activity is notable. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 27,272 deniers, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Election debates consists mostly of two grey suits arguing over how to best preserve the status quo, innocent defendants often plead guilty for fear of receiving a much harsher sentence before jury, videogames like 'Equalia: Knights of Self-Confidence' are proving inexplicably unpopular, and the nationalized auto industry is adept at making durable little cars nobody wants to drive. Crime is well under control, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Boredom's national animal is the sloth.

Boredom is ranked 214,089th in the world and 2nd in Liberty and Freedom for Largest Information Technology Sector, scoring -9.49 on the Fann-Boi Productivity Index.

Most Primitive: 21,166th
