The The United Terran Authority of Caldariat is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Ryujin with an iron fist, and notable for its sprawling nuclear power plants, complete lack of prisons, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, humorless population of 9.145 billion Caldarians are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The large, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Industry. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Terra. The average income tax rate is 99.2%.

The frighteningly efficient Caldarian economy, worth a remarkable 2,571 trillion Atlases a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Arms Manufacturing and Retail. Average income is an amazing 281,216 Atlases, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 4.5 times as much as the poorest.

More money is spent on policing the welfare system for abuse than on the welfare system itself, photos of picturesque coastal buildings are set against a backdrop of smokestacks and ship hulls, cub scouts are being asked to hand in their woggles as the state withdraws funding for scouting, and citizens wishing to leave the country must surrender half their wealth to the government. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Caldariat's national animal is the Kitten, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is Violet.

Caldariat is ranked 109,802nd in the world and 4,846th in Lazarus for Most Income Equality, scoring 22.44 on the Marx-Engels Emancipation Scale.
