The Thrice reborn Union of Canadian Technocrats is a colossal, efficient nation, ruled by Parliamentary Council with a fair hand, and notable for its museums and concert halls, sprawling nuclear power plants, and stringent health and safety legislation. The compassionate, democratic population of 5.826 billion Canadian Technocrats are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

The medium-sized, liberal, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Education, Industry, and Healthcare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Technottawa. The average income tax rate is 68.2%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Canadian Technocrat economy, worth 840 trillion Maple Syrups a year, is fairly diversified and dominated by the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Tourism and Book Publishing. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 144,238 Maple Syrups, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Posters on 'Canadian Technocrat Values' advise against being proud of Canadian Technocrats, the government regularly hires contractors to construct high rise apartments, the parliament building has installed a revolving door, and government solves problems by tossing money at the nearest geek. Crime is totally unknown. Canadian Technocrats's national animal is the Phoenix, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, and its national religion is None.

Canadian Technocrats is ranked 35,125th in the world and 760th in The East Pacific for Lowest Crime Rates, with 79.92 law-abiding acts per hour.
