The Republic of Chaihna is a colossal, orderly nation, notable for its strictly enforced bedtime, smutty television, and irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, humorless population of 8.002 billion Chaihnans are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

The relatively small, corrupt, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Industry, and Administration. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 68.5%.

The frighteningly efficient Chaihnan economy, worth a remarkable 4,132 trillion currencies a year, is broadly diversified and mostly comprised of black market activity, especially in Arms Manufacturing, Automobile Manufacturing, Basket Weaving, and Uranium Mining. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is a breathtaking 516,386 currencies, but there is an enormous disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 2,813,212 per year while the poor average 48,641, a ratio of 57.8 to 1.

To 'cut off family ties' is no longer just a phrase, no animal is considered endangered if there's another that looks kind of like it, mining safety laws are often more expensive than what's being mined, and the state has declared war on the environment and environmentalists by association. Crime is so common that it is unusual to encounter someone following the law, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Chaihna's national animal is the animal, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Chaihna is ranked 21st in the world and 1st in Vickenian experiment incubator for Largest Automobile Manufacturing Sector, scoring 60,054.16 on the Henry Ford Productivity Index.
