The Rotting Garbage Pile of Comfed is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Our VERY Excellent Leader with an iron fist, and notable for its fear of technology, hatred of cheese, and suspicion of poets. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 1.889 billion Rainbow Cats are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The enormous, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Okatarin. The average income tax rate is 97.1%.

The very strong Comfedian economy, worth 382 trillion Golden Biscuits a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is an enormous, deeply entrenched, highly specialized black market in Arms Manufacturing and Uranium Mining. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an amazing 202,487 Golden Biscuits, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.1 times as much as the poorest.

Peace talks occasionally rack up a higher body count than the wars they seek to stop, burning members of the Order of Violet is the nation's favorite pastime, the sound of wooden legs echo throughout Comfed after the recent introduction of the Foot Tax, and colonial citizens are forced to sing the praise of the "Great Comfedian Liberator". Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Comfed's national animal is the mantis shrimp, which frolics freely in the nation's sparkling oceans, and its national religion is the Holy Church of Garbage.

Comfed is ranked 11,029th in the world and 584th in The North Pacific for Most Advanced Public Education, scoring 10,314.53 on the Edu-tellignce® Test Score.
