The Dictatorship of Deutschlaand is a huge, orderly nation, renowned for its state-planned economy, compulsory military service, and irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 453 million Germans are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The medium-sized, moralistic government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Industry. The average income tax rate is 30.5%.

The Deutschlaandian economy, worth 24.0 trillion Reichsmarks a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, broadly diversified black market in Automobile Manufacturing, Arms Manufacturing, Basket Weaving, and Book Publishing. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 52,870 Reichsmarks, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 4.5 times as much as the poorest.

It's always rabbit season, conductors wield diamond-encrusted batons to fit in with their freshly gilded surroundings, weapons produced by newly nationalized armaments factories have been found to contain sawdust instead of gunpowder, and the police double as repo men. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Deutschlaand's national animal is the Black Eagle, which can occasionally be seen dodging aircraft in the nation's cities.

Deutschlaand is ranked 54,858th in the world and 3rd in The 3rd Entente for Largest Publishing Industry, scoring 3,701.45 on the Bella Potter Productivity e-Index.
