The Oppressed Peoples of Drogmar is a gargantuan, orderly nation, ruled by The Unspeakable One with an iron fist, and renowned for its prohibition of alcohol, enslaved workforce, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 12.509 billion Drogmarians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The enormous, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Healthcare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Zeredathath. The income tax rate is 100%.

The frighteningly efficient Drogmarian economy, worth a remarkable 5,715 trillion blood diamonds a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is an enormous, deeply entrenched, quite specialized black market in Arms Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, Woodchip Exports, and Information Technology. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an amazing 456,879 blood diamonds, with the richest citizens earning 8.0 times as much as the poorest.

The giant 80-storey carving of The Unspeakable One in Mount Rushless can be seen from space, gene-engineered sewerjacks don't smell but they do stink, doctors prescribe medicines but they rarely dispense hope or compassion, and diplomats shake hands with their right and hide a poison dagger in their left. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Drogmar's national animal is the Horrific Demon of Fear, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its national religion is Philosophic Sufferianism.

Drogmar is ranked 169,480th in the world and 7,455th in Balder for Largest Publishing Industry, scoring -50.77 on the Bella Potter Productivity e-Index.
