The Dominion of Eclessia is a massive, orderly nation, ruled by the Voice of the Divine with an iron fist, and notable for its pith helmet sales, anti-smoking policies, and suspicion of poets. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 1.107 billion Eclessians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The large, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Industry, Defense, and Law & Order. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Sanctum Imperium. The average income tax rate is 66.5%.

The frighteningly efficient Eclessian economy, worth 116 trillion saint golds a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Tourism industry, with significant contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Woodchip Exports, and Basket Weaving. Black market activity is rampant. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 105,626 saint golds, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 4.9 times as much as the poorest.

Laborers are building walls and making Wezeltonia pay for it, songs of praise to the Voice of the Divine are filled with coded messages from the resistance, ministers are now allowed to put suggestions in the governmental suggestion box, and cyclists spend more time unlocking their bicycles than they do cycling. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Eclessia's national animal is the Eclessia dragon.

Eclessia is ranked 58,442nd in the world and 3rd in The Pacifian Federation Colonies for Highest Average Tax Rates, with 66.51 Effective Tax Rate.
