The Socialist Republic of Furstia is a gargantuan, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by President Rafael Ilario with an even hand, and remarkable for its museums and concert halls, complete lack of prisons, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, humorless population of 13.081 billion Furstians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The government — a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, corrupt morass — juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Puerto Deseado. The average income tax rate is 95.2%.

The frighteningly efficient Furstian economy, worth a remarkable 1,382 trillion Ligas a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector is mostly made up of the Arms Manufacturing industry. Average income is an impressive 105,657 Ligas, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Invasive species are hunted by the gendarmerie, children are sent to either religious or secular schools, family isn't who you're born with but who you abandon in foreign countries, and Furstia's leader goes out to lunch surrounded by large men in dark glasses. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Furstia's national animal is the African Bush Elephant, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Furstia is ranked 214,796th in the world and 92nd in Geopolity for Lowest Overall Tax Burden, scoring -298.1 on the Hayek Index.
