The Oregon Trail Route of I 86 is a gargantuan, efficient nation, ruled by Eisenhower with an even hand, and renowned for its fear of technology, pith helmet sales, and absence of drug laws. The hard-nosed, humorless population of 10.955 billion Highwaymen have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Industry, Administration, and Defense. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Pocatello. The average income tax rate is 49.7%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Roadworthy economy, worth a remarkable 1,159 trillion tolls a year, is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, with significant contributions from Uranium Mining, Information Technology, and Woodchip Exports. Black market activity is extensive. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 105,886 tolls, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Air I 86 is rumored to receive more government funding than the Roadworthy Air Force, 'Totally Not Partisan News' is a line item on the government budget, a weakened police force struggles to maintain law and order, and prime picnicking sites are being paved over in the name of progress. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. I 86's national animal is the Panda, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its national religion is Constructionist.

I 86 is ranked 160,314th in the world and 3,226th in Balder for Most Stationary, with 124.9031492286 days.
