Religions

Most Sernians are Catholics, although there is also a high population of Jewish people. Jamie Knotman was a devoted Catholic himself. On Sundays no work was done and all miners were forced to go to Mass. Jamie's son, Oliver, was not like his father and spirituality in the city lessened.
Sernia was a theocracy for a while, but even though it isn't now, being anything but Catholic is frowned upon, and being violetist comes with a public exacution.
