The Federative Republic of Rusedia is a massive, genial nation, ruled by Daniil Mishustin with an even hand, and notable for its avowedly heterosexual populace, prohibition of alcohol, and devotion to social welfare. The compassionate, devout population of 2.66 billion Rusedians are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion.

The enormous, moralistic government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Law & Order, and Welfare. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Anadyr. The average income tax rate is 77.6%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The powerhouse Rusedian economy, worth 199 trillion rubles a year, is highly specialized and led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Book Publishing, Furniture Restoration, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 75,019 rubles, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Contemporary art museums showcase the latest in centuries-old art, the police insist that racism does not exist, police officers that upset their bosses get assigned to 24 hour stakeouts of bike sheds, and the government has started a campaign to crack down on road rage and encourage alternate means of commuting. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Rusedia's national animal is the bear, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is Orthodox Christianity.

Rusedia is ranked 264,856th in the world and 1,318th in Europe for Largest Basket Weaving Sector, scoring -5.29 on the Hickory Productivity Index.
