The Dominion of Section 32 is a gargantuan, cultured nation, ruled by Stryfe with a fair hand, and renowned for its keen interest in outer space, sprawling nuclear power plants, and multi-spousal wedding ceremonies. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 24.1 billion Section 32ians hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

The minute, liberal, outspoken government, or what there is of one, juggles the competing demands of Education, Industry, and Social Policy. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Subsection 1. The average income tax rate is 1.0%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Section 32ian economy, worth a remarkable 5,113 trillion wooden nickels a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Automobile Manufacturing, Soda Sales, and Uranium Mining. Average income is an amazing 212,177 wooden nickels, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.7 times as much as the poorest.

Stryfe's office is running a trade deficit of midnight oil, bus ads propagandize causes ranging from sexual revolution to religious pogroms, billions are being spent on a new island airport, and the government has certified several glow-in-the-dark athletes as drug free. Crime, especially youth-related, is a major problem, probably because of the absence of a police force. Section 32's national animal is the forest eating robot, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Section 32 is ranked 38,015th in the world and 58th in Canada for Most Developed, scoring 70.69 on the Human Development Index.
