The Kingdom of Sozialreich is a huge, safe nation, notable for its compulsory military service, state-planned economy, and punitive income tax rates. The compassionate population of 411 million Germans are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The government — a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, socially-minded morass — juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 74.5%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but stagnant German economy, worth 2.39 trillion Reichsmarks a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is quite specialized, is dominated by the Trout Farming industry, with significant contributions from Uranium Mining, Automobile Manufacturing, and Pizza Delivery. Average income is 5,822 Reichsmarks, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The new 'Who Wants To Be A Politician' election debate auditions are more popular than the debates themselves, it is quite common for bar patrons to discuss Wittgenstein over cordials and games of backgammon, unpopular cops are fired at a moment's notice by the citizens they police, and unpackaged foodstuffs rot on store shelves. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Sozialreich's national animal is the Bundesadler, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Sozialreich is ranked 178,158th in the world and 6,635th in the South Pacific for Largest Agricultural Sector, scoring -5.61 on the Mu-Bah-Daggs Productivity Index.
