The Dominion of T A M O S is a huge, efficient nation, ruled by The Council with an iron fist, and remarkable for its zero percent divorce rate, smutty television, and irreverence towards religion. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 826 million statemen are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The medium-sized, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Cathedral. The average income tax rate is 68.6%.

The frighteningly efficient state economy, worth 142 trillion credits a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Retail. Black market activity is rampant. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 172,138 credits, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.7 times as much as the poorest.

Funeral directors are frequently looking at their watches during funerals, major cities shut down as their local sports team takes to the field every day, rabbits are known to spontaneously explode without warning, and athletes and street criminals compete for solid steel baseball bats. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. T A M O S's national animal is the feral, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

T A M O S is ranked 58,691st in the world and 143rd in Capitalist Paradise for Most Stationary, with 145.56454572752 Days.
