The Empire of Totoyomi is a huge, orderly nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service and restrictive gun laws. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical, devout population of 358 million Totoyomians are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

The medium-sized, moralistic, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Spirituality, Law & Order, and Defense. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 28.4%.

The very strong Totoyomian economy, worth 18.5 trillion pesos a year, is quite specialized and dominated by the Trout Farming industry, with significant contributions from Cheese Exports, Arms Manufacturing, and Woodchip Exports. Average income is 51,632 pesos, with the richest citizens earning 8.9 times as much as the poorest.

Crime, especially youth-related, is almost non-existent, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Totoyomi's national animal is the wolf.

Totoyomi is ranked 249,243rd in the world and 13th in Notaregionlandia for Largest Basket Weaving Sector, scoring -3.55 on the Hickory Productivity Index.
