Effects of the Independence
The Independence of the United States of dictators was a massive victory for Dictatorisians. But since over 80% of all materials of Herzoslovakia were imported from HRD (the former name of United States of dictators under Herzoslovakian rule) the Independence affected their economy and civilians in ways never seen before. Here is the detailed explanation:The war formally ended on 6th March 1834 with a peace treaty which would grant the independence of the Dictatorisian Free State (name of the Independence Movement led by Andrew Aiden) It was signed by President Ebert Roth of Herzoslovakia and leader Andrew Aiden of DFS. The treaty called for the immediate removal of Herzoslovakian military bases, government offices and overall withdrawal of troops from DFS.
Andrew Aiden had banned all exports to Herzoslovakia on 12th March 1834, about 6 days after the signing of the treaty. He also said that the United States of dictators will not have any diplomatic relations with Herzoslovakia.
The banning of exports caused an immediate effect on Herzoslovakia, as said most their food, supplies, and materials were coming from the United States of dictators, and they had no time to transfer trade routes to other countries. As a result prices of goods soared in Herzoslovakia, caused a food shortage, shortage of medical supplies and medicines, and wool and cotton shortage. The government had also run out of money due to an all time high military spending due to the Independence War. Quality of Life in Herzoslovakia went down from Very High to Low in just 5 days, Unemployment rates rose to over 93.2% of the population and people were escaping the country due to the recent developments.
The government responded by enforcing a 100 day nationwide curfew and a nationwide ban on travel. It was reported that The President, Ebert Roth had fled the country on 26th April 1834, as did other government officials and Ministers.
The government was almost non existent. The military took this as an opportunity to assume power and on 2nd March 1835 the military declared the Armed Forces of Herzoslovakia as the new government of Herzoslovakia.
The great Herzoslovakian famine began on 7th July 1836 and killed over 40,000,000 people. Over half of the Herzoslovakian population. Streets of Herzoslovakia were described as 'Ghost towns' and even if there were people, they were usually starving or were homeless.
The International Community finally responded to the horrors in Herzoslovakia, a relief package, thousands of boxes of food and millions of bottles of water were sent to Herzoslovakia. The World Assembly (WA) also requested the military to step down as Government and requested the democratic government be brought back. The United States of dictators had refused to sent aid to Herzoslovakia, but eventually did.
Overall, things in Herzoslovakia were starting to get better and the country was slowly recovering. Trade routes were established with new countries including the United States of dictators. Nowadays, Herzoslovakia is a developing country with a democratic government. The military is under the control of the government, the economy is developing and the country is on track for a good future. Relations with the United States of dictators have improved but embassy requests have been rejected by both sides of the governments.
