It is said that the first Burljhani settlers in Varnash arrived at about 730 K.Y. (kelesh yorania, meaning before the dissolving). These settlers created settlements in the mountains of Varnash and received shipments of food from Burljhani on the mainland before they were able to farm during the summer and survive on built up food supplies. At around ~660 K.Y. the Burljhani living in Varnash created small confederations of mountain city-states that were practically independent of Burljhan.
