The Kingdom of Xeknos is a gargantuan, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Queen Yukina I with an iron fist, and renowned for its anti-smoking policies, national health service, and punitive income tax rates. The compassionate, cynical, cheerful population of 10.286 billion Roselians are ruled with an iron fist by the socialist government, which grants its people the freedom to do whatever they like so long as it doesn't involve getting richer than anybody else or challenging the government.

The large, liberal government juggles the competing demands of Education, Administration, and Environment. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Roselia. The average income tax rate is 89.4%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Roselian economy, worth a remarkable 1,567 trillion credits a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is highly specialized, is mostly made up of the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Book Publishing and Tourism. Average income is an impressive 152,412 credits, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Extraordinary tribunals try accused financial criminals, citizens are encouraged to report friends, family members or co-workers who seem depressed to the government for "counselling", many whiskies taste suspiciously like automobile radiators, and children must be board certified to append "Jr" to their name. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Xeknos's national animal is the tortoise, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Xeknos is ranked 10,155th in the world and 7th in Sparkalia for Lowest Crime Rates, with 100.79 law-abiding acts per hour.
