The exception being that they're not capable of spaceflight and have energy shields and the likes. Instead, they just have thick plating or armor made of advanced composite alloys and whatnot.

OOC: I can't see the image for some reason, but thanks.

The battle raged across the city of Subete no Yoimono no Chushin. Chudokuren forces hadn't been expecting an aerial assault, and many of their naval defenced would seem of little use. Destroyers and frigates fired missiles at the ships above them, submarines surfacing to unleash their own fire. Anti-air guns fired rapidly, aiming mostly at the enemy escorts.

Kyoki Chudoku's forces were known for the patriotism. They didn't hesitate to commit horrific atrocities in the name of their nation. An experienced fighting force, they had faced a great many enemies. This time, however, was different. Now, they defended the shores of their nation. A passionate desire to bring death to their enemy could be sensed amongst the ranks of the Kyoki Chudoku no Boei-Gun.

The streets were filled with civilians, most of them fleeing and being evacuated out of the area. There was no sense in losing any more people than had to be lost. The army's forces pushed forward to combat the enemy threat. Their foe had advanced technology, but this did not faze them. For Kyoki Chudoku had long been prepared for facing a more advanced threat than they, and many of their advantages remained.

Chemical weapons began to flood parts of the streets. Snipers picked away at exposed soldiers. Mortar fire rattled their foes, but was nothing compared to the artillery that followed. They had to be careful minimise collateral damage- not usually a concern for their offensive actions- but that would not make them any less deadly in combat. Armoured main battle tanks, which the nation used rarely due to their weight and being difficult to move between the islands, were deployed. The roars of their engines incited courage in the Chudokuren forces. Interceptors whooshed overhead, with even close air support being deployed in hopes of bombing the enemy airships.

Of course, their most impressive advantage were the tenshi. Magical warriors, their supernatural abilities were incredibly varied. Some generated shielding to protect themselves and their comrades from attacks. Some fired bolts of lightning, or orbs of dire, or even beams of piercing light. Some were medics, healing wounds. They were far from immortal, but they were no pushovers either. Above all, they were unyielding, refusing to stand down even in the face of death.

From her own residence, thankfully not yet consumed by the chaos, Aozora made a transmission to her enemy.

"This is Aozora Chiyumi, Supreme Overlady of All Reality. You dare to attack my country, you dare to bring destruction here. Yet there is one thing you do not yet realise: that destruction will be your own. We are not unprepared for a threat like yourselves. We will not relent! We will show you no mercy, for your deserve nothing but suffering! And as you watch, dying in agony, know this. Your lives are forfeit to my blade, and have been the moment you entered our airspace. Prepare to meet your end, and may you despise every moment of it!"
