The Confederation of Yukona is a colossal, efficient nation, ruled by President McMurphy with a fair hand, and remarkable for its museums and concert halls, irreverence towards religion, and complete absence of social welfare. The compassionate, democratic population of 6.295 billion Yukonans enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Education, Environment, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Vancouver. The average income tax rate is 18.2%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The thriving Yukonan economy, worth 810 trillion Yukonan dollars a year, is led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Tourism, Book Publishing, and Furniture Restoration. State-owned companies are common. Average income is an impressive 128,820 Yukonan dollars, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.9 times as much as the poorest.

It's harder to qualify for IVF than for a good university, Yukonans seem to be catching more chills, vital intelligence-gathering activities are put on hold as agents return home for seduction training and advanced poker instruction, and old dogs don't have to learn new tricks but they have to prove they haven't forgotten old ones. Crime is totally unknown. Yukona's national animal is the brown bear, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is secularism.

Yukona is ranked 18,113th in the world and 23rd in The Confederacy of Free Nations for Most Developed, scoring 77.29 on the Human Development Index.
