RP Rules from Eurrerre (Expired)

Consists of 3 Parts:

Part One:
Creating clear universal definitions and interpretations of extremely important but sometimes unclear stats, aimed to allow greater use and interpretation of the statistics.

Civil Rights
"The citizens of nations ranked highly enjoy a great amount of civil rights or freedoms to go about their personal business without interference or regulation from government."

The overall extent of civil liberties extended to the citizens of a nation, as well as how the government treats its citizens in non-political regards.

Most to do with: Authoritarianism

Economy
"Nations ranked highly are the most ruthlessly efficient at translating raw resources, including people, into economic output."

The overall strength of the economy, it ranks how "Strong" your economy is, stronger it is, less economic waste, very basic, but very important.

Most to do with: Average Income

Political Rights
These nations allow citizens the greatest amount of freedom to select their own government.

How many political rights your country has, the freedom your people have to disagree and criticize the government.

Most to do with: Authoritarianism, Civil Rights

Average Disposable Income

The World Census calculated the average incomes of citizens after paying tax.

The money people have after taxes. It is important to note that communist nations or nations with higher tax rates will have lower average disposable incomes than more capitalist nations (presuming that they have equally high average incomes) and that lower disposable income may be made up by state services that would otherwise be charged for in more capitalist nations.

Most to do with: Freedom from Taxation, Average Income, Economic Freedom

Average Income

The World Census carefully compared the average spending power of citizens in each nation.

Average Income rates the income for people before taxes, and really addresses the richness and prosperity of a country by rating how much resources are given to people for their work. Since it isn't affected by taxes, it is most useful for seeing the most economically developed nations after the Economy ranking.

Defense Forces

"The Most Advanced Defense Forces in Integrated Allied States
Nations ranked highly spend the most on national defense, and are most secure against foreign aggression."

This ranking rates the overall strength of a nation's military, the net capability, and is separate and unaffected from Scientific Advancement, better rating means better security and more advanced defense forces, which means more capable. If you do not have a military, see here

Scientific Advancement

Scientific Advancement relates to the scientific advancement of a nation in society (separate from Military). Better scientific advancement would mean a higher role that high tech plays in society. Scientific Advancement does, although, affect space operations.

Employment

Employment measures the percentage of working people out of the people who are legally allowed to work. This allows some wiggle room, like the retirement age, different interpretations of retirement, if being a homemaker is considered employed, etc.).

Part Two:
The three RP Principles:
  • The Base Principle: RP Stats are to be your foundation, you are encouraged to expand on that, as long as it doesn't contradict. If your average rich income is in the 500,000s, and your average income is in the 100,000, you could say there are some ultra-rich people and a lot of people with an income just reaching the top 10%, which has created that high rich income. NS stats are a base for you to build your nation on.

  • The Hierarchy Principle: If another nation has higher stats in a specific area, they are entitled to take their RP of those stats further than you, nations should try to advance their own RP of stats with their stats growing too. This is most important with Scientific Advancement, so try to stay in modern times.

  • RP posts should be coherent and use full sentences.

  • No Godmodding or Controlling what happens in other nations: An explenation of Godmodding can easily be found, but it is pretty much saying your nation is the best at everything. Controlloing things in other nations is not allowed, and if it does happen, it must be agreed upon before by the two nations, or deflection RP will be used, if the Deflection RP (An RP ending to an affair, to be used quickly) is not accepted, the RP will be voided. A nation has rp rights to their land, their airspace, and their territorial waters. Territorial waters extend as far as the corresponding exclusive economic zone extends (200 nm). In regards to nations protected by The Treaty on the Respect of the De-Militarized and the Neutral (Ratified), violations of territorial waters, airspace, or land are not allowed. Please refer to the maps below for EEZ.

Part Three:
Rules for the map:

  • No expansion into NPC land, instead try RPing with other countries (Not NPC nations). Interaction with NPC nations is not allowed, it is to just be ignored.

  • A nation must be informed if they are entitled to more land then they have claimed, if a nation claims Finland and some smaller surrounding lands (say Karelia, Murmansk, and Rybachi), they should be informed that they would be entitled to claiming some of the lands in the St. Petersburg Area. If a nation is not informed, they may make an appeal to the RP Minister, or the RP Minister may inform them, and correct the issue. This expires when the land that could have been claimed is claimed by another country.

  • To make a claim, introduce your nation on the RMB. Tag the RP Minister, and telegram the claim and capital (And IRL equivalent geographical location for the map) to the RP Minister. Make map claims reasonable.

  • Nobody may have multiple nations (accounts) on the map.

  • Puppet Forgiveness: If you privately come clean about having a puppet on the map, you will receive no punishment, you will just have to say though that account that you're leaving or something, or quietly make that account leave.

    RMB RP Posts
Should have a bolded title that either indicates that the post is an RP post, or shows that it is an RP post through being RP related. For instance, it could say "RP", or it could say "Avalonian Response to Allegations of Human Rights Abuses". Then, not bolded, should be the actual post.
