Aldi Flats

Located in Northwestern Ormenea, the Aldi Lakes once stood in what is now known as the Aldi Flats. This now serves as an attraction for wind surfers and campers in general.

The Aldin people, once nomads have adapted to the environment through portable living. Many depend on tents, deployable shelters, and convertible mobile homes using solar power and wind power to sustain their need for electricity. Known as a minimalist tribe, the Aldins believe that all you can carry is what is important (material). Although they are nomads, they are classified as concentrated and familiarized nomads that have only settled in areas around the location of Aldi.

During the winter, the flat lands of Aldi become an irresistible tourist attraction as ice forms well-leveled suited enough for a nice wide skating area and air sailing. The winter season is the peak season for the Aldin in terms of livelihood, housing tourists in what was once part of abandoned military outposts (decommissioned military pop-out shelters and expansible van-trucks) as hostels.
