The Oatland Regional Games are an international sporting event held in Oatland. Its purpose is to promote sporting excellence and international brotherhood. The games are biannual, with winter games held in February and summer games held in June. Each game consists of numerous events in which athletes compete for the gold, silver and bronze metal. This years winter game has eight events: Figure Skating, Cross Country Skiing, Ice Hockey, Freestyle Skiing, the Biathlon, Alpine Skiing, Curling and a new event, Bobsledding.

Example roster:

Cross Country Skiing - Marc Gérald, Céline Berlioz

Freestyle Skiing - Philippe Jauffret, Gérald Pretre
Bobsledding - Yes
The Biathlon - Christine Girard, Olivia Gaudreau, Jean-Yves Bachelot, Julie Rousselle

Curling - Yes

Eligibility
The games are open to all nations that are residents of Oatland, all nations that are residents of a region that has an embassy with Oatland and all nations which have previously competed in the games.

How to participate
In order to compete nations should telegram a list of competing athletes to Aclion, the event organizer.
This list should contain the full name of each competing athlete as well as the event they will competing in.
Nations are currently limited to sixteen athletes total and are allowed to allocate up to five to each event. If an athlete is competing in more then one event then each entry is counted separately towards the nations total athlete pool.
The exception is the team events, ice hockey, curling and bobsledding, in these events nations may only allocate one "competitor". This entry represents the nation's team so will just be named after that nation(unless you want to give a team name I guess)

Scoring
The exact system used for scoring is secret. However, nations should note that having a high heath stat will give them a small advantage in the games, nations can also gain an advantage by shrewd allocation of their athletes.
Nations can also take advantage of various bonuses, which are added to their athletes scores. Nations can earn team-wide bonuses by publishing team logos, uniform designs and anthems. Additionally nations that publish short biographies of competitors can earn a bonus for that competitor. Nations can also earn a bonus in a specific sport simply by noting that this sport is their nation's speciality when submitting their roster. Please be sure to submit all material by the sign-up deadline if you wish it to count towards your score.

Additionally when choosing competitors for your roster note that athletes and teams which earned medals in the previous winter games will automatically receive a bonus if they return to compete in the same event.
