* On 03 June 2016 CE (NS 14), New York joined the Kingdom of Hell, by the wilful decree of its nations (residents and citizens) and remaining elected government (including the consent of the founder Gell-Mannhattan, with ambassadors in the regions of Florida and English Britain as Philadelphian, Novan, Norman and Usonian boroughs of the imperial city). Thereafter, the region of New York has been equally ruled by the triumvirate (of Pandæmonium) known as the Council of New York, consisting of Devil as the King of Hell, and Layarteb and Nova-Lox as Daemon Princes of New York. The Council of New York's rule recognises the NY Constitution and regional laws, but also ultimately supersedes the existing law of the land (thereby assuming the powers of the State Assembly, Executive Officers, Ministries and Government Offices) until further notice. Diabolic and satanic Lucifer had been authorised to transact national (animal and spiritual) souls in a codex created by Faustian Bargain Act of 16 February 2012. On 30 March 2017 CE the regional frontiers were opened to the public of NationStates. The Princes control administration of frontiers and embassies (with the region of nations) and communication by telegrams and posts (to the Regional Message Board or RMB). The region is globally known with the regional tag ("etiquette") of "casual" (not serious and formal), although its local founder (detailed in a history by All Wild Things) suggested "surreal" (queer and fantastic) and "snarky" (humorous and sarcastic) as optional tags in addition to those of the nebulous NationStates system.
