The Shiruk Articles of Rights

Article 1
The right of all citizens of Shiruku to free religion, speech, press, petition, and peaceful assembly shall not be denied or abridged.

Article 2
The right of all citizens of Shiruku to be protected against unreasonable searches and seizures shall not be denied or abridged. No warrants for search or seizure shall be issued without probable cause.

Article 3
No person shall be: compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against herself or deprived of freedom or property without due process of law.

Article 4
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall have the right to: a speedy and public trial by an impartial jury, be informed of her accused crimes, be confronted with witnesses of her accused crimes, and have counsel for her defense.

Article 5
No case ending in a 'Not Guilty' verdict shall be retried in court unless there is discovery of concrete, inarguable evidence.

Article 6
Bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel or unusual punishments inflicted.

Article 7
Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude shall exist within Shiruku.

Article 8
The right of all citizens of Shiruku, who are sixteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged on account of race, color, language, sex or gender.
