Independent Nations League promises independence referendum as Nogski election draws near
Kogskinogska Broadcasting AgencyThe far-right Independent Nations League has promised to propose a referendum in Nogska on secession from the Federation.
It's election season in Kogskinogska, and the stakes are high as tensions from the Adalzikrai annexation spread over the political spectrum. The Nogski elections in August have been noted by experts as particularly important, as far-right movements are expected to gain a large amount of seats in the Nogski Senate. The INL is among these movements, and this promise has sent shockwaves across Kogskinogski politics.
Last night, the INL made a statement on Tweetbook, stating that they would support an independence referendum bill in Nogska.
The Kogska-dominated central government is tyrannical and corrupt, infringing on the rights of the Autonomous Nations. The only way to break free is to cut all ties with the federation and become independent. The INL fully supports a bill for a referendum that would make Nogska free from the central government. Sad!
This has been met with significant backlash from prominent political figures, arguing that a secession of this kind is unconstitutional and that it would be disastrous for all parties.
I've said this before, and I'll say it again. THERE IS A REASON THAT KOGSKINOGSKA EXISTS IN THE WAY THAT IT DOES. Tearing the Federation apart would cause economic and political havoc, and further the spread of far-right nationalism across the coast. I am scared for the future of the Southern Gulf.
