Political Parties of Junterland

Demokratische Partei (DP)
Democratic Party
Political Ideology: Moderate American Conservatism
Current Leader: President Rolanda Kornfeder
Current Seats in Congress: 168

The current ruling party of Junterland, most of Junterland's policies reflect their beliefs. Some of their most noticeable characteristics are their strong stance against anything they consider to be against "Junteran Ideals" and their support for the military.

Liberale Partei (LP)
Liberal Party
Political Ideology: Liberalism
Current Leader: Congressman Heine Dreye
Current Seats in Congress: 131

One of the most popular parties, behind the ruling Demokratische Partei. They tend to favor increase human rights and liberty, support ethnic and religious equality, and wish to decrease military spending and put it into social welfare and other similar programs. Tends to butt heads with the ruling party and other conservative parties.

Konservative Partei seiner Heiligkeit (KPsH)
His Holiness' Conservative Party
Political Ideology: Religious Conservatism
Current Leader: Congressman Artur Heldt
Current Seats in Congress: 1

This party wishes for Junterland to go back to God, and make many of his rules into law. However, they do not hold a lot of seats in Congress, mostly because their views did not age well and most of their members tend to be dogmatic. Could also be said to have recently found a new rival in the newly founded Technokratenpartei.

Technokratenpartei (TKP)
Technocrat Party
Political Ideology: Technocracy
Current Leader: Dr. Saskia Fischbacher
Current Seats in Congress: 0

This party wishes to switch control of the country from politicians to qualified experts, like scientists, doctors, and engineers. They wish to see some combination between a state-planned economy and a market-based economy, support higher education, believe religion is getting in the way of human advancement, and wish to bring Junterland into a Golden Age of Technology and Progress. Popular among professionals and in the cities, the main problem for this party would be to establish itself on the National Political Stage and getting support from the more rural and conservative members of Junterland.
