The Kingsblood Tower

In the heart of Dullabhan, on the grounds of the royal palace, sits a tall, stone tower. This tower is the Kingsblood tower. The tower is steeped in history, and drenched in blood. According to Amamhachan myth, the tower was built by The Rístianna, the Alachánni of kingship and rulers. At the apex of the tower, sits a large brazier made of an alloy of copper and bronze. The brazier is lit upon the birth of the heir to the throne, to signal across the land the birth. In ancient times, this actually served the purpose of informing the general populace of the birth of the future king. Now, it is a more symbolic practice than it is a practical move. The name of the tower, The Kingsblood, comes from the fact that the beacon is lit upon the birth of the kings child, the Kings blood.

There are continuous repairs being done on the tower, and scaffolding is commonly seen erected on the tower. Funding is usually provided by the government, as the tower is officially protected by the Esannan government, though their are often fundraisers done by the general population to keep it in good condition.
