Rules of The First Imperial Order (made on 11/20/19 for The First Imperial Order)

As The Shield of The Emperor, it is The authoritarian people's duty to write out the rules of the region, and we see the importance of having a solid set of guidelines to guide nations in their future endeavors. So as of yet; let us introduce the rules of The First Imperial Order

RP Rules:

Background on RP Rules/Guidelines:

When it comes to the rules on roleplaying in the region it is more a guideline on how to roleplay; there are some definite rules that cannot be broken, but for the most part we want you to have fun and help make this a community region. Remember we have worked hard to make this region great and work well; we attempt to give everyone a chance to make something great out of their time in here, but it also requires the community wanting to make something great.

Definite RP Rules:

1) To make an army requires time, so we have decided that you can not just summon an army out of nowhere.

This is obviously done for balancing reasons to make the RP experience more authentic and fair between all players.
To create an army requires resources; which requires land, and to get those resources out of the land requires manpower, which requires people, which requires planets in which that have cities in them. Link to dispatch on how to create military: [Link will be added once dispatch is made]

2) To create war you must first find an Empire (whether that is an actual player or not does not matter to us).
To find an Empire that is not a player you will need to: come up with a name for the Empire (has to be an actual name not something stupid this will be dictated by staff), you must declare how many galaxies/solarsystems they have this number is able to change to more or less depending on circumstances throughout a war with them and if they have galaxies you do not need to state the amount of solar systems, you must declare how large of an army they have ([link to dispatch of nation classifications to be added]), and once you have declared war you must give checkups on how your progress is going (once a week at the minimum). If staff finds your progress unrealistic, you may be forced to revise (example: if you are facing a nation with similar strength as you, you will not be able to defeat them in one day, and some conquests may even take real life weeks to come to a conclusion). This will become more lenient as you become a larger nation; meaning if you have a large enough military you don’t need to report weekly on your small conquests, instead you just say how much land you have gained.

Guide To War With Another Real Player: [Link to guide is to be input when it is created]

3) To go to war with another real player you do not need their consent.
It is like real life, if a nation declares war on another nation, for them to begin an invasion they don't REQUIRE consent of the opposing nation; that would be stupid.

4) We require weekly checkups on the creation of units, and total units that you have.
This includes ships, soldiers, armored vehicles, transports, special forces, robotic forces, and any other form of forces that you may have. This becomes more lenient as you grow larger; meaning, when you become larger you can give estimates of how your nation is growing.

5) We require weekly territorial updates every week.
We want to know how your nation is expanding, so we can update your territory on the soon to be coming interactive map. As you become a larger nation you may become a Senator, if you are a Senator, you are eligible for becoming an Imperial Commander. If you have achieved Imperial Commander status, you will be able to add the territory that you earn yourself.

RP Guidelines:

1) Keep in mind the geography.

Some nations within the region could be on the other side of the Empire from you, so if you are planning to go to war just keep that in mind, and understand who you are around, we will soon have a map of the region.W ill be interactive and constantly expanding, and this is why we want weekly check ups on war and territorial progress; us as staff will not use any progress to gain an advantage over you, meaning we will not exploit knowing when your nation is expanding or weakened to attack.

2) To become a Senator you will have to campaign to get elected.
To be eligible to become a Senator, you must: first become a larger nation (not using nation states values but using the RP values), second you must campaign to attempt to get a Senator slot, third you must be elected by non-Senators, fourth you must be approved by The Senate to become a Senator, and last but not least, you must get approved by the high up officials. This is all to prevent an "unworthy" person in office.

3) Make alliances
You WILL want to make alliances; this will help protect you and your allies from attacks. Others most likely will have alliances since they are not/will not be banned from the region, so we suggest that you make an alliance with nations close to you to help ward off incomming attacks.

4) To become a power within the region you will want to have likeable diplomatic ties; it is extremely difficult to become a power on your own.
We say this only to help you out; if more people like you, then chances are they will want to see you succeed, and if you are succeeding as a nation you will become a power eventually.

5) War is almost necessary
Whether you want to expand or you want to go to war for political reasons, war most likely will touch your nation at some point. As the Authoritarians' say "better to overprepare, than not prepare at all" this holds true to war.

There may be rules and/or guidelines changes in the future; if that happens an announcement will go up telling about the changes. The announcement will outline the changes, so you do not necessarily need to reopen the document if changes happen.

General Purpose Rules:

Chat Rules:

1) Don't directly insult someone

Hazing and being a d*ck are two different things; if someone asks you to stop, then stop.

2) If staff asks you to stop doing something, then stop.
I mean we only have three staff members in the region, so we would very much appreciate it, thanks.

3) Do not spam or post "chain mail"
This is just annoying, and it makes you look like an idiot when doing this, so thanks.

4) If you have an issue with another player, bring it up to staff members, and we will take care of it.
We say this because we don't want big arguments ensuing over something simple; now RP arguments are different. With RP arguments we actually want them to be conducted in the RMB; this allows for players to see what nations relations are like, as long as the arguments do not get out of hand and start a region wide war that is.

These rules ARE subject to change; if they get changed an announcement will be posted explaining what was changed and how it was changed.

This concludes the rules for The First Imperial Order; these rules have been voted upon by the high council, and have been enacted to protect the region and allow for the most fun possible. Remember that these are subject to change, and enjoy your time within the region. Have a great day!
