The Diplomatic Corps

The Diplomatic Corps is the backbone of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they are assigned to regions who Thaecia has established embassies with to serve as a bridge of communication and defend Thaecia's interests abroad. The Diplomatic Corps is also used to create or invite regions to events and contests and the ambassadors themselves may take part in treaty discussions. Serving as an ambassador does not limit you in any way, both the President and the Prime Minister served as ambassadors.
There are two kinds of diplomats: Senior and Junior.
Junior Ambassadors meet in the Thaecia Server and have access to the Diplomatic Lounge. This hasn't been moved to the Executive server for the convenience of our foreign diplomats) Junior diplomats participate in some decisions.
Senior diplomats meet in the government server. They are responsible for creating the monthly FA Newsletter and take part in many FA decisions

- Send a telegram to the Foreign Affairs Minister The Bigtopia stating you want to be an ambassador or contact him on Discord
- Pick a region that does not have an Ambassador and inform the Foreign Affairs Minister your choice. If there are no such regions, we will get you one as soon as possible - however, you may still take part in the decision-making duties of an ambassador.
- Join the Thaecia Discord Server and introduce yourself. (Discord is required to be an ambassador unless you have special permission)
- If they don't have a discord, introduce yourself on the RMB

- All Ambassadors, starting Febuary 1st, 2020 and later, must give a weekly report to the Foreign Affairs Minister through the Foreign Affairs chat in discord or via telegram.
- You need to make yourself known to your embassy region.
- Respect your assigned regions laws, customs and culture.
- Inform your assigned region about significant events going on in Thaecia. The Senior Diplomats will provide a short newsletter to ambassadors to give out to their assigned embassy region)
- Senior diplomats will typically vote on and discuss embassies before they are established. If any diplomats have a recommendation for an embassy, please inform the FAM and we will discuss it. Diplomats are encouraged to look for such regions. Junior diplomats will be involved in some discussions but not often
- Senior diplomats will vote on sensitive decisions, but most important decisions would be decided by the corps as a whole
- Diplomats meet monthly on how to advance Thaecia and become a well-known and respected region
- Diplomats lacking discord will vote on everything but might not be able to discuss things
