The Murphtannian times , The fall of democracy in Murphtannia.

Since Murphtannia's birth as a nation the glorious president Murph has done his best to steer his beloved nation in the path of glory and economic growth. However time after time he has been impeded by bickering politicians interested only in their own self interest. With the rapid decline of the economy the glorious leader has decided that now is the time to rid himself of these politicians.

In a official speech given by the glorious leader himself earlier today in parliament, he outlawed elections and instated himself as ruler for life. Here is a snippet of his speech "I have worked tirelessly to improve political freedoms, improve the economy, eradicate unemployment and crime, and create a good quality of life for my people, but, while I have succeeded in creating a high quality of life, and we are a world benchmark for political freedom I must now take some of that freedom. I do this to protect the people of my beloved country from the greedy nature of the politicians that plague our system. Instead of working together to improve out country they waste time and resources fighting with each other like children bickering over sweets. I have no choice but too take power from these people, from hence forth, all elections are cancelled until further notice is given, justice is too be given to corrupt officials and I am instating myself as leader for life, for the glory of Murphtannia! we may continue to rule the waves."

There you have it folks, our supreme leader coming to the rescue again, democracy in Murphtannia is gone, a new era of imperialism has begun, glory to Murphtannia.
