Foreign Policies and Stances

The United Galactic States is the largest, wealthiest, and most powerful nation in the entire Universe. It has the most powerful military, along with the most advanced technology. It is also allied with many other nations in the Universe, as part of the International Military Defense Pact (IMDP), in which over 500 allied nations are a member of.

Despite this, the foreign policies are different than what one would expect in terms of a nation which is known as the great protector of all in the Universe (like the US sort of).

The UGS is largely non-interventionist, while also being very liberal in terms of international policy. Diplomacy is always an option before war, but some criticize this, saying that this is how empires such as the Grand Royal Empire were able to gain such a power and control in the Universe as it currently does.

However, this has caused lots of peace in the Universe which the UGS and its allies enjoy, and has prevented war for millions of years. But it definitely doesn’t go without saying, that interfering with the empire’s growing power could’ve prevented one of the worst destroyers of human rights ever formed.

The UGS believes in war only for self-defense or the defense of allies.

Trade

Although the UGS is huge, powerful, and sustained enough to not even need trade, it still takes in imports from allies, and is thought to be the biggest exporter in the Universe.

However, trade to enemy nations is hugely regulated. The GRE, is one of the few nations in the Universe in which trade is illegal and never done.
