Evacasia's only autonomous territory, Tirnua, had long been an economic miracle, undergoing rapid expansion in a dizzying climb to wealth and prosperity.
KERU was the key to Tirnua's success, as the territory had extremely low corporate tax rates, incentivizing businesses to move into the territory. Investment from KERU and Evacasia led to a highly educated workforce, great services, and high average income.
But because of Lirana's annexation of West Katanga, formerly held by Reru Tanda, Evacasia pushed for a vote to make Liranaholm exit KERU due to their imperialism. Though the vote was not expected by many to pass, Evacasia threatened to leave the union if it failed. Confirming the suspicions of many, the vote was shot down, with many in KERU balking at the prospect of ejecting one of their own. Even in Evacasia, many were split on the issue. So divided was the nation, and so monumental the decision, it was decided a referendum would be held on whether or not Evacasia should follow through on her threat and leave the union.
Bordering the Sea of Marlandor and somewhat distant from the Evacasian heartland, Tirnua long had a booming economy thanks to the KERU membership. But with Evacasia's economy in shambles, the territory was thrown headfirst into its worst economic crisis in recent memory. Even before KERU finalized Evacasia's departure, the Tirnuans had felt their voices weren't being heard. Having voted overwhelmingly to remain in KERU, the news of the departure left the region outraged, and with the economic collapse underway this only intensified. Tirnua began experiencing a cultural resurgence. The old flag of the Tirnuan Kingdom quickly grew in popularity, becoming just as popular as the actual flag of the Tirnuan territory, and Taelic festivals once again emerged throughout the region. In the outrage, another option became apparent for many Tirnuans; become independent, and choose for themselves whether they wish to stay with Evacasia or cast off those ties and rejoin KERU.
The Tirnuan economy is on the breaking point after leaving KERU, and the boiling point between Evacasia and Tirnua doesn’t seem to be far away. If Evacasia doesn’t do anything, Tirnua could be heading into independence soon enough, either peacefully or forcefully.

Recent elections across the Kowenian States show shifts in political beliefs, potentially threatening regional security and foreign influence.
As election results are announced across the seven Kowenian States, an interesting divide between conservative and liberal governments has become apparent. While more traditionalist governments remain in power across most of Kowen, a few left-leaning political parties have seen unexpected success.
A land with great suspicion of foreigners, the Kowenain States have traditionally sided with conservative parties. Recently, though, as the region enters a period of unusual political stability, liberal views are beginning to take shape in some states. In the small, landlocked Kingdom of Central Kowen, the National Progressive Coalition, led by Yuk Jung-Eun, replaced the ruling Kowenian Patriots’ Party. Jung-Eun’s election victory in Central Kowen marked a significant moment, as he became the first Kowenian leader to announce plans in support of the expansion of civil rights and the potential decriminaliation of same-sex marriage, a highly controversial subject as it remains illegal across all Kowenian States.
Not unlike Central Kowen, North Kowenian elections saw the rise of a progressive-left coalition that won power in an unexpected political upset. At the helm of this movement was Yon Dung-Jun, a pacifist and anti-imperialist who has denounced foreign involvement in North Kowen. However, he appears to have overstepped his boundaries. Shortly after taking office, Archian military troops forcibly removed him and his cabinet from power, ousting Dung-Jun and replacing him with an Archian. Archron then announced they would hold new elections, presumably barring similar candidates from the ballot.
In West and South Kowen as well as Incheon, the Conservative Parties remained in power, continuing their long-time dominance over Kowenian politics. East Kowen also saw the Conservative Party take control. It appears conservatism has returned to the mantle of government in East Kowen, with the Conservative Party taking power after years of standing alone as the sole left-leaning Kowenian State. Kangjon Young-Jae, militarist-nationalist leader of East Kowen, has courted some controversy, having formerly served with anti-communist forces now linked with acts of terrorism committed in Incheon. While Kangjon maintains he no longer holds ties with the group, some disagree.
The smaller shifts in Kowenian politics are perhaps the results of larger demographic and cultural trends beginning to take shape across the region. Blessed with an unusual period of stability, many of the Kowenian States have seen unprecedented economic growth, due in part to access and cooperation with foreign markets. Foreign interest in Kowenian markets has collaterally led to increased interactions between Kowenian and outside cultures, inadvertently opening the Kowens to foreign beliefs and ideas. Such interactions are best seen in Central and East Kowen. In Central Kowen, the interaction with Rumania and other LAT nations has likely played a role in the nation electing the National Progressive Coalition. Conversely, interaction with Archron in East Kowen has potentially caused the nation to veer conservative, as Archian influences reach the nation. These shifts in Kowenian politics, while small in number, have the potential to cause domino affects across the region. And, depending on how they coalesce, change the fabric of Kowenian society.

Do you smell that? The salty dill? That oh so familiar aroma? I certainly do, and I do believe it is time to bring it out once more. February is here after all, and you know what that means, right?
Chocolates, flowers, love letters? I mean, I guess you can pickle th- actually no, let's not try that. It's time to announce the new Pickle of the Month!
The winner of February is none other than Empire of Gora! Of course, this sadly means that previous pickle Atlantic Stegosaurs will be losing their green, but alas, it would not be the same if there were more than one.

The Cervenian government continues to carry out a campaign of deporting Elken peoples following a failed coup attempt.
Following an attempted assassination of Cervenian Prince Forester by Elken separatists, the Cervenian government has begun a campaign to rid the nation of the Elken. Days after the coup attempt, Cervenian army personnel were deployed into the nation’s largest Elken community, the city of Hanja, with the intent to round up and deport the local Elken populace.
The Cervenian military was met with limited resistance in Hanja, and were quickly able to enter the city and begin the deportations. Those who resisted the Cervenians were publicly executed in the city center, bringing attention to the lengths the Cervenian government was willing to go to expel the Elken. Once the city had been cleared, the Cervenian military used artillery to destroy the community. The Elken arrested by the Cervenian military have been deported to either the wilderness to the west of the nation or to Icewindia, who had offered to take in Elken refugees. Continuing their campaign, the Cervenian government has seized and nationalized Elken assets and finances.
The Cervenian government has released a series of statements on the expulsion of the Elken, using the opportunity to gain the support of the majority Cervenian population. In addition to using the expulsion to secure support among the majority Cervenian population, the Cervenian government has declared to the international community that the expulsion and killings are justified as reprisals for the attempted coup. However the Cervenians have raised concerns over resistance movements from the expelled Elken population who may organize and retaliate against the state.
Some of the Cervenian fears seem to have come true after Elkstase attacked an outpost in the Elken region; however, according to Cervenain officials the attack was repelled with heavy casualties. The government has yet to release any casualty reports. The future of the conflict between the Elken and Cervenians is unknown, but the general consensus seems to be that the conflict is not yet over.

In our current lives, it’s hard to see something good. Civil wars have popped up and multiple 1v1 wars begin every decade at least. There is some good news though; a comedic duo from the impoverished nation of Antenesia has begun spreading their popularity around the world. While it may seem normal to have a comedic duo exist, their spiking popularity is something rarely seen.
Charged as bodyguards for the Antenesian delegation at the Tau Volantis International Gala, the two, Ekahi and Elua, first gained infamy after circling around the meat table in the gala, endangering the lives of many present. Despite being disciplined and demoted from their rank in the Antenesian Civil Guard, their comedic drive did not fade.
Forming a comedy troupe known as "The Lorikeets", they went around Antenesia doing skits and performances. Their rising popularity in the islands was taken note of by Tiernan Nolan, host of the Evacasian Territory of Tirnua's ascendant "Late Late Show." Their popularity skyrocketed on the show. They also went on the quest of attempting to find the Alingarchi who spun around the table with them in the Tau Volantis Gala.
They surprisingly managed to find her, and her name was Mary Wellington. The duo offered to meet with her, and she accepted. Plans were halted, however, when the League of Nations ordered the sending of peacekeepers to Blayredeshia. With manpower needed to contribute to the effort, the small island nation mobilized the Civil Guard. Themselves Guardsmen, Ekahi and Elua answered the call.
The meeting with Mary could mean a possible comedic trio, and with their great performance on the Tírnuan talk shows, it could mean even more fame to come.
Shorthand for "Out of Roleplay", it contrasts a far more common abbreviation you'll hear here, "RP", short for Roleplay. It's also an acronym any readers outside of our region might be unfamiliar with (If you are here, thank you for reading <3). And it's one that can be forgiven for generating confusion.
After all, the framing is rather odd. The fact that roleplay - a very specific means of communication, writing, and interaction - has infinitely more time in the spotlight on our RMB than everything outside of it betrays a key aspect of our regional culture.
On one hand, it is deceptive. Hidden from the eyes of the occasional foreign RMB observer lies our region's discord. In this banterous and more secluded area, talk of OORP dominates. Here you will find individuals speaking to individuals, not kingdoms squabbling with republics.
This duality defines the regional culture: focused on the IC (in-character) RMB, sustained by the OOC (out of character) discord. If you had a conversation on the site, you would be gently prodded to the discord. If you posted your nation's latest post in your economic crisis storyline on the discord, you would be met with strange looks and more aggressive prodding.
But even in the discord, you notice something. There is a second distinction. A distinction between OORP and IRL. And while the former is encouraged, the latter is muted. Enshrined in the Discord's rules - the very first one - is a prohibition of political discussion, and while conversation on a server of geopolitical nature inevitably drifts towards it, just as inevitably it is soon directed away. Personal information is largely concealed, save the occasional first name and general location of residence. Rare is the personal photo of someone, a touchy subject in a region with a quiet plurality of minors.
To some, this may feel natural. An understandable means to promote regional stability, avoid personal feuds, and protect members. To others, this can seem overbearing, suppressive of the will of individuals, constricting of the natural flow of conversation and hindering deeper relationships from being formed. Whatever your thoughts though, it is the way it is, and has been for ages.
I state these things not to slander the region with which I am so fond of. Neither do I say so to proselytize other communities to a constitution that is not fit for every region. I state them to shed light on the nature of the region, the paper, and specifically, the scope of this OORP section.
For hours I could drone about real world events: the conflicts that rear their head in the globe, the continued strides of progress, the all-encompassing reach and impact of the Coronavirus, the long shadow it casts.
But here I will not be doing such. Part of that is acknowledging my peripheral perspective and wisdom on those matters. There are countless who care more of it than I, countless with a stronger will and smoother pen to lend to the matter and draft a manuscript for the willing to read. More critically, though, I do not believe that to be the realm of this paper.
The THTHI Times, much like the community who birthed it, is very much a place invested upon itself. Citizens do not venture onto the RMB, or bundle up in the Discord, to dwell on such real world and international affairs. For better and for worse, our region is an introspective one. An island in NationStates, and an island in the World. Such topics hardly reach our distant shores.
In that spirit, this OORP section will be defined as it is in the broader regional culture. A section that will review the region, its members, and its happenings, but go little further. A section that exists outside of conventional boundaries. Out of the roleplay, out of real life.
As the year that was 2020 lays her head to rest and hands her torch to she who will next bear it, perhaps it is time we pause for a moment and take in all that has happened.
In the spirit of that inward focus, I will spend this piece dwelling on the government and community of THTHI. How it's grown, developed, and, perhaps most essentially, how that's changing.
First there are the simpler matters; the numbers. Kickstarting this year, the region's population had been steady after a decline in membership, sitting at 159 nations. That decline would persist until the turn of March, where it would rise before entering a long and steady decline. A trend would emerge, where the region would gravitate to around 120 members before stabilizing. This continued all the way up until December, when a recruitment period that continues even now has seen the region rise to an annual height; 177 members, as I write this.
With such decline and stagnation in numbers, you may think the regional culture had taken a similar turn, slowly languishing into oblivion, far from the region's glory days. Indeed, you may not be alone. Though the calls have faded with recent growth, many had, at some point this year, heralded the slow heatdeath of the region, preaching that our best days were long gone, and yearning for those oh-so-nebulous "good old days."
But were they?
From start to finish, 2019 had a fairly consistent RP pattern. One or two, sometimes up to a half dozen paragraph long posts, spread across 327 pages. It was an impressive mark of consistency. While there were some lulls, overall activity was stable, and the region ended the year much like it began.
But look to the most recent posts on our message board, and you will gaze upon something subtly different. At first, you may see the same concise and to-the-point messages. And indeed, they will be a majority. But scroll further, and you see something new. Spoiler tags, lists, headings and subheadings, more paragraphs, more text, more substance. There have always been dedicated and active quality roleplayers, sure, but never with the numbers and force on display here and now.
This isn't exclusive to recent days, either. Throughout the year, the pattern has continued, and though it waxes and wanes, it persists. To ask why it has increased to such lengths is anyone's guess. Perhaps it was the work of a few persevering roleplayers whose style finally caught on. Maybe a change in atmosphere brought new minds with a fresh perspective to the RP. Maybe the region has just aged, and with it the average user's writing acumen has risen.
Whatever it may be, there is an undeniable truth. Roleplay posts have been rising in scale, complexity, scope, and, curiously, number. You know how I said 2019 had 327 pages on the RMB? 2020 had 371.
Of course, those of nostalgia will point instead to 2018 as the apex. And indeed, there they have an argument to be made. The roleplay of the pre-refounding era zipped through pages like a sailfish through water. But while there is nuance to be had in the argument of what makes a good roleplay environment, if we focus solely on post quality, the winner is clear.
Over the past year and continuing to this day, I argue that THTHI is undergoing a renaissance. The regional culture, though still inseparable from her roots, has distanced herself from the sheer juggernaut of speed and activity that once defined her. In its place arises an evermore intricate and sophisticated roleplay and regional structure. Where nations once scrambled to field their armies in a flurry of posts, dueling barrels and bayonets are now replaced by parrying pens.
This is not to say the old ways are dead. Lurk around and you will find many still adhere to the old tried and tested way. But the old hegemony of the flurryposts has faded, and now they share the spotlight with their more eloquent brethren.
The regional government, too, has seen great change, this very article being emblematic of that. I write this piece for a newspaper which did not exist a few months ago, for a Journalism branch that did not exist until this month, as the Cultural Department Head, a position just as young. As I write this, government elections - almost unheard of in the region a year ago - are currently underway for the position of Roleplay Mentor. It is quicker to count the government in terms of what existed before 2020 than it is to measure what didn't.
The list can go on. What was a region of one founder is now two, as Kuriko elevated Candensia to co-founder status earlier this year. The Hole now shares an embassy with The East Pacific, THTHI's second with a game created region, after The Rejected Realms. The sheer scope of the region's expansion is remarkable, and it has done so with a relative stability that the old government of 2018 could only dream of.
That is not to say the region is without issues. The age old issue of drama and simmering disputes lingers, and it is a spectre the region - community and government alike - must continue to handle with discipline and care as it continues to make itself manifest. Manpower also remains short in certain departments, and Cartographers again face a looming crisis as a filling map threatens to lock out newcomers.
But I believe the structure of government can now accommodate this. The disconnect between gov and citizen is now bridged by Roleplay Mentors. The Cartographers I serve with have shown a continual diligence and care for the map and its related fields, and the Moderators now house within them several new faces who've proven themselves active and capable.
How we fare a year from now remains to be seen, but one thing rings clear. For THTHI, 2020 was a victory. Whether 2021 is the same will be up to us, and us alone.

As December has come and gone, it is again time to announce the winners of the MMA awards!
For those of you who don't know, the MMAs are awards bestowed by Roleplay Mentors on nations that show exemplary roleplay abilities. Normally, there are two; one selected by each Mentor. However, as Roleplay Mentor Artaecus did not select their pick before leaving office, there is only one recipient this month.
Congratulations again to our winner, Alingarch! I think I speak for the region as a whole when I say we're all looking forward to what you come up with next.

Last but not least, it is time for the moment many of you have been waiting for; the announcement of January's Pickle of the Month!
This oh-so-coveted, oh-so-briny award is rewarded by the government of THTHI to an individual who shows commendable and upstanding behavior in the region. Though many yearn to don the green, ultimately, there can be only one.
For this January, that one is none other than Atlantic Stegosaurs!
A newcomer to the region, Stego has shown brilliant maturation as a region member, continually persevering and growing over the past two and a half months to become a seamless part of the community. Congratulations, and enjoy your emerald month!

SECOND N-L WAR
K SANCTIONS
E CRISIS
As per tradition, the Third Empire of Nonadia has gone into war only a few years after ending another one. The date of the start of this war is unknown, though with our math, it started around 3 years ago at the time of writing this. A medium range missile was launched by Luwuia that had a highly explosive war head, hitting the Nonadian town of Peurto De Kolanda. The act did not spark war as it was expected to, but 15 N-79 bombers tracked down Luwuian planes that were "violating" the Nonadian airspace.
Luwuia's act made Nonadia do a show of force, stated by the Nonadian Government; "In a show of force, a destroyer moves into visible range of the Luwuian island and promptly shoot near the beaches, and a torpedo ship shoots a torpedo into the beach as another show of force..." A stalemate ensued in the strait seperating Nonadia and Luwuia, with both nations having a majority of their entire navy in the strait.
And then, when Nonadia thought that a stalemate was going to ensue, Luwuia f*cked up and missiled the Nonadian district of Ivery City. This prompted a war declaration from Alingarch, Dwarf land4, and Artaecus. The 3 nations along with Nonadia named themselves the Ivery Coalition. Though, the nation of Redpeppers would speak with Luwuia, and Redpeppers signed a Mutual Defense. Surprisingly, they have not officially declared war on the Ivery Coalition, or at least the nation of Nonadia.
The nation of Kiamai was recently refounded after Kiamain troops invaded the land once occupied by the nation before it collapsed. In order to cement themselves back into Kalrania, they began diplomatic relations with Liranaholm. At first, Kiamai was seen as just a new nation looking to expand its influence. But then, Empress Katherine died at the age of 30, which began a spiral that went out of control following Princess Lila's coronation. She turned Kiamai into a communist monarchy and cut off any diplomatic ties with any nation.
They ordered that Liranaholm remove their bases and leave, but the nation refused. Kiamai stated that if they did not leave in 72 hours, the base would be bombed with artillery and bombers. Icewindia also forced Kiamai to talk with their diplomats as they supported the Lirana course of action. Kiamain soldiers prevented the Icewindian diplomat from entering the Icewindian embassy in Kiamai, with Icewindian soldiers stationed there point guns at the Kiamain soldiers.
Then, the Icewindians leave and burn the embassy to stop the Crisis, with the Icewindian soldiers heading towards the Lirana military base. They beg the Lirana soldiers to open up the gate to let them into the base. The Lirana let them in, though the diplomat goes back to Icewindia. Capatalists took over the country in a fairly quick coup, and then happened the Kiamain election, where conservative candidate Allison was elected into office. The instability of Kiamai launched Artaecus to issue sanctions on the nation.
The situation devolved into insult throwing, and after Kiamai insulted Artaecus and their leader, Nonadia issued sanctions on Kiamai as well. And then Allison died, and Brookyln took over, apologizing for what Allison had done to Kiamain foriegn affairs. In order for protection, Kiamai joined the Nationalist League after they got Blayredeshia's approval to do so. Currently, Brookyln has met with all of the nations that had previously bad relations with Kiamai during Allison's reign. Time will tell what happens next.
The Wendel Report was released by the Evacasian Counter-Terrorism Unit, showing links between the Uns Allein party in the Evacasian Senate and the Fenish Republican Army, basically a militia. Mass protests ensued in the nation of Evacasia, with Lenz Baier, a journalist for the Evac Indepedent and Moritz Larenz, the President of the North Fenland Executive Council, being kidnapped by the Fenish Republican Army. Soon after, the hostages were found in a small industrial compound, with a commanding officer saying it was like a "bee's nest at night."
The Chancellor of Evacasia Gerrisen, released a statement, after Evacasia launched an operation to free the hostages, with all surrounding neighborhoods evacuated.
"As I'm sure many of you may know, Evacasia has suffered yet another attack from the Fenish terrorist organisation. The National Guard, with support from the armed forces, recently launched an operation to retrieve the two victims. The operation concluded last night, during an engagement in a southern Pforzheim Lehmann Industries compound.
The operation destroyed much of the yard, though I'm glad to say that no civilians were injured or killed as a result of the operation.
We have received confirmation from our forces that Moritz Lorenz was successfully rescued. He is currently in the Pforzheim General Hospital, and is expected to fully recover within the next couple weeks.
"With a heavy heart, I must say, Lenz Baier has not been recovered. He was executed by FRA captors late in the night, before our units could successfully extract him. Though his memory will live on with us; he was a defiant and heroic man, and his spirit will remain as long as the Evacasian soul is alive. He will receive a full state funeral, for his service to our nation cannot go ignored.
The Fenish Independence Movement may have claimed another life, but we will never give into the fear. We will stay together, united in our efforts as a single nation. Fear and terror will never win, as long as we may live."

N-L WAR AT A STANDSTILL
L-A WAR CONTINUES
I CIVIL WAR END?
E PROTESTS
Hurricane Boganitz has started suddenly with its route going right into Nonadia. The storm is currently moving at over 100 miles an hour (107 to be exact), with very heavy rain at 7 inches of rain an hour. Waterspouts are happening often (20 an hour, but they are usually short lived), making for some very good photographs for the internet, though it's estimated that around 6 people have been injured doing so. Its movement is slowing down at 8 miles an hour right now. Storm surge is very high, with its highest being 9 at the South Nonadian Islands (Southern Islands in Nonadia).
Millions across the South Nonadian Islands lose power, with the government providing generators for important assets in towns and cities. Flood walls were built quickly, but it was in-effective due to the walls being built too quickly, which meant they weren't stable enough to handle the storm. Nonadians rush for |convenient foods due to the Nonadian Weather Service's suggestions to get through the storm, which included getting fast to make food like chips and granola bars.
The Luwuian rebels, the Luwuian Prosperity Coalition, have taken over foreign relations after taking over 50% of Luwuian land. And after they took over, they requested peace with Nonadia. The Nonadian government gave them the Treaty of Swanie, which the LPC refused stating it interfered with their goals and ambitions, and so they brought the Treaty of Hudson City, which Nonadia refused stating that the Treaty of Swanie would be beneficial to Luwuia. After both nations requested peace talks be held in Kavastor, Kavastor agreed, and brought another treaty.
- Both nations will avoid war for at least 5 years (5 weeks irl)
- A Kavadstori peace keeping force will occupy a 30 mile neutral zone that no Luwuian or Nonadian forces can cross
- A military defeat will not be acknowledged by either side as Nonadia did mange to strike back, but Luwuia did mange to inflict damage at an extreme level
- All military assets regarding a destructive capacity great enough to sink a destroyer/level a large building must be logged and placed under Kavastori supervision
- all persons visiting Kavastor must quarantine for 14 days
Recently, Liranaholm (Dwarf land4) invaded Hymn Island with little resistance due to the only military presence on the island being the Prison Fort. The 5,000 soldiers in the Prison Fort fought back and got into defensive positions on cliff beaches near the Liranan landing site where they will invade Hymn Island. The soldiers fired Schismian Laser Rifles, but they surrendered due to being outnumbered, knowing they had no chance of winning. The Atomic Schism destroyed the province of Forwest to deter Liranaholm, and evacuted it. Millions couldn't leave or just didn't want to, leaving many unemployed, and
Fiercewood offered aid in the refugee crisis in the Atomic Schism, but surprisingly, they refused the aid stating that "the 'refugees' you speak of are nothing more than savage criminals serving their purgatorial sentence in the natural state of their birthland. God will not permit the interference of the sentencing, thus neither shall the Dual Church."
Evacasia has recently been dealing with huge protests for Fenland's independence, which Evacasia isn't really allowed to deter because protesting is one of the rights to an Evacasian citizen. Traffic has been stopped and bussinesses are at a standstill due to the huge protests. The protests are mainly anti-Gerissen, and mostly supported by the Uns Allein party in the Evacasian senate. The protests don't seem to be changing the Evacasian government's view on independence, though that could be changed.

N-L WAR CONTINUES
EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEWS
MENTOR ELECTION
D-A WAR BEGINS
It's hurricane season, and you know what that means, Werewolf Islands has found another hurricane starting to form. According to our data, the hurricane was a small, harmless tropical storm directly south of the Nonadian Islands. But the tropical storm has moved along near the Great eastern estan coast, and became hurricane soon after coming near the nation.
Predictions can change, but currently from the info we have, the hurricane will become a category 2 after a little bit of skimming the Great Eastern Estan coast. Then becoming a category 3 after skimming the top of the nation, and shortly after, the hurricane will hit the nation of Comaraka and will partially hit Khosrau.
Info from the Comarakan News has revealed that it seems Comaraka is preparing quickly and early, with workers already being moved to shelters. Other than that, a Tropical Storm Watch was issued by Nonadian Weather Service in the Southern Nonadian Islands. Due to the hurricane just starting, not much other info has come out
MORE INFO ABOUT THE PATH:
page=dispatch/id=1426163
The Nonadian - Luwuian war continues, but this time, with our info, it seems Nonadia has the upper hand (though this could change). In fact, the Luwuian Civil War has begun with the 3rd Luwuian Republic declaring their independence from Luwuia, with their territory not being too big, really just consisting of the Port Smith City Hall.
And if it wasn't worse enough, a disease outbreak has started in Luwuia, but so far no info on the disease has been released except that over 10,000 people have been infected and millions more are predicted to be infected. The Nonadian army also begins Operation Thinkable, invading Luwuia and planning to crush the country.
From our info from multiple interviews, we will now try to explain each faction leader we interviewed believes and goals.
HEMLOCK INTERVIEW
President Hemlock leads the Rhineland Confederation, which is a republic, attempting to replace the Icewindian Monarchy with Democracy. He is Esloda's nephew, which means he is very sad about Esloda reverting to insanity. He separated from the Empire to prevent genocide and the killings of millions as he says, and because of concentration camps in the Icewindian mountains.
He takes an anti-Nationalist League view, which means he thinks the country should leave the alliance. He also recommends getting Esloda out of the government.
IRONSIDES INTERVIEW
He takes a very anti Esloda stance due to what she has done, mainly the concentration camps in the mountains. He leads the anarchy faction of Icewindia, which from my interview has some good music attached to it. Both the Rhineland and the Anarchists have very good relations, believing that they will rule together if either wins. And if he wins, he will lift many regulations to improve Post-War Icewindia.
Similar to Hemlock, Ironsides said he will declare war on the Nationalist League if they don't pull out. The anarchist faction from the interview seems very united in their idea of people being free from government control and regulation.
ADMIRAL CATHERINE INTERVIEW
From the interview, it seems Catherine believes in a compromise instead of this bloody Civil War continuing, though she is very anti-anarchist. She likes Esloda, but knows that if she doesn't recover, she will have to stop leading. Contrary to what both other leaders said, she said she will try to end war with the Nationalist Leauge.
From my knowledge of the interview, it seems she doesn't have a problem with the Rhineland. The interview was cut off though, with many new factions being created, she had to respond.
MAYOR TUSHI INTERVIEW
Mayor Tushi is the leader of the city of Deiji, which is a neutral area, and it's no surprise alot of refugees are flooding in. He gives military access to the Nationalist League, but will not enter the war. The city seems to be the only place who's economy hasn't fallen by a decent amount.
He does not mind either side, seeing benefits to each side winning. He is also good friends with Enmarr due to their great investments in the region, but in return, Deiji has become a protectorate of Enmarr for 10 years.

I Civil War Begins
It was 6:00 A.M in the city of Swanie, population 25 million. The Nonadian government had started new military exercises in response to increased Luwuian exercises, with them shooting across the Nonadian border with them "having disregard for any life".
And out of no where, a missile hit Swanie, Luwuia saying it was part of the exercise. In response, Nonadia declares war on the nation and bombings occur on industrial areas of Luwuian border towns.

The first battle was the battle of Swanie, with over 300k losses, and the city lost 20 million out of its 25 million citizens, almost 99% of the lost population was due to evacuations funded by the Nonadian government. Most of the battle was a stalemate, with no one really maintaining air superiority.
The end of the battle was a 40k lb bomb being dropped on the outskirts, and Nonadian divisions shooting at Luwuian divisions. Nonadian divisions were surrounded as Luwuian reinforcements arrived, but due to no clear winner, Luwuia left the city, leaving it destroyed.
The Gatisland Civil War has started, and after news of a right-wing militia in the conflict, Blayredeshia swore to defend and aid it due to the interventionism-like behavior of The Nationalist League.
Blayredeshia has repeatedly bombed enemies of the Mensyist, with it still happening today. Icewindia also joined the civil war, backing Blayredeshia. News also hit of Demitor supporting socialist militias hit pretty fast, and the Blayredeshian military quickly began operations in the region, with intense bombings in the region.
Most of the NL's operations in Gatisland are aimed at spreading right-wing ideas across Kalrania, the war is currently in the Magyarorzag-'s favor due to aid from the NL. Operation Glencoe made sure no opposition would rise up in the claimed territory with Blayredeshia killing Icewindian communists.
A massive famine would happen in Gatisland, but Blayredeshia would quickly bring food to the Magyarorzag nation. Currentley, Blayredeshia still has operations in the region, but not much news has come out so far.
A massive internal conflict had happened in Rekken, with lower thrones, with aid from Icewindia, started to be disloyal to Empress Eerika. The Empress ordered war to the disloyal lower thrones, and massive battles ensued.
The invasion of a newly created Marinia was brough forth by Eerika, but it managed to backfire, resulting in the death of the Empress, and the end of the royal family in Rekken. The aftermath was complicated, so here is the source of all of this:

Out of no where, a wild Icewindian Republic appeared and declared war on Icewindia. And so did an Anarchist Icewindia. But Esloda becomes almost crazy, purging government members who disagree with her, sometimes even killing them, and news has come out of a planned genocide of the colonies.
Esloda is using bad tactics, but silences anyone who says they are, putting units that don't exist into battle. But the NL backs her to make sure Icewindia won't leave the Nationalist League. Due to the civil war just beginning, no one knows who will win.
