Obligation to Moderate Act

  1. The Prime Minister shall within 24 hours of a petition for moderation by a resident, make a moderative decision in public in response to that resident.

    1. The Prime Minister may be exempted from this requirement, provided he is taking a leave of absence and has appointed the delegate or
      another resident to act in his place.

  2. Should the Prime Minister not respond to said petition within the allotted time under these conditions, the Delegate shall be obligated to make a writ demanding the Prime Minister’s swift response.

    1. The Prime Minister shall be obligated to respond to this writ either by acknowledging it and taking a leave of absence, or by acknowledging it and pledging not to violate it again.

    2. The Prime Minister shall also be obligated to append to his response a moderative decision.

  3. Should two such writs by the Delegate be made in the same term of that Prime Minister, the Delegate shall call a vote of no confidence against the Prime Minister if it is more than a week prior to an election.

    1. If it is less than a week prior to an election, the Prime Minister shall be banned from standing in that election.

  4. Should a resident make what is determined to be repeated frivolous demands for moderative action by a majority of the Senior Ministers, they may be barred from making petitions for moderation.
