RMB Highlights: Gameplay Q&A

This dispatch is currently up to date. Last edited on 1/17/22.

COMMON ACRONYMS OF NATIONSTATES:

General Gameplay: Issues, Population, etc.

Boydland wrote:So... do the issues just keep coming up?

United states of gondor wrote:Yes

Rei Khan wrote:yeah, pretty much

Neo-empire of brazil wrote:Yes

Zoninite wrote:how do you figure out how to choose good solutions to issues? ive gotten bad ones lowering my economy and manufacturing repeatedly

Aerlanica wrote:Well, it's kind of like gambling.

You have to choose what one you believe to be a good choice; whether it helps or hinders your nation is up to chance. Its...kind of a characteristic of the game

Zoninite wrote:ok then, so its just what i think is best

Aerlanica wrote:pretty much my dude

Zoninite wrote:is it possible to get a big population fast, is there like a specific way to get higher poulation or something

WonGya wrote:Population grows linearly.

So no. Population is basically a direct reflection of how long you've play the game.

Lawithon wrote:Is frightening the highest economic level

Baldwin Park wrote:Umm, go hard capitalist and kill environment, or be skillful and wait to develop things slowly.

My strategy with this nation was to broadly diversify as much as I can, as early as I can. I also notice that certain industries produce more economic output per capita and are weighted higher in terms of which ones are the leading industries mentioned in text on nation's page. Like Tourism makes a LOT of money, so does manufacturing, arms manufacturing, auto manufacturing. If they are healthy size they will even be more productive than higher ranking industries you DO have a button/modifier for top 10%, 5,% 1%. These are cumulative to getting those single digit(double if lucky) increments towards your economic productivity to Frightening.

It's a very tricky way of playing, and extremely cautious and strategic. I've managed to diversify and thus get Frightening earlier(but just lost it as result of slight drop in another sector recently). Plus, I answered the intro service all paradoxically to get as many nerfs as I could off the bat from get go.

It's a long slog, but if you dismiss any obstructions to economic growth you can fet it quicker. Im not sure if this is true but it seems as the country ages and modifiers and variables become more refined they tend to increment less points towards the civil rights, economic, or political bars unless they're extremely drastic answers to issues. In effect, it becomes harder to course correct or lets say, change from a socialist country to a free market one late in the game cause you get much more complex specialized issues weighted less towards cumulative sum. This is based on personal observation only, and an assumption, do I'm not certain but this seems to correspond.

You can also reach economic growth really quickly if the environment and having super high death rate, charmless capitalist powerhouse is your thang you do you.

I feel guilty about the environmental effects my country's growth has had on environment. Our culture is high but our weather not very good, and not particularly beautiful.

It's up to you to determine your goals, hopefully this helps you.

I'd still warn you that you'll be riding the wave, with rises and falls, to maintain strategic not tactical outlook and to not sweat changes.

Although I do kind of wish it was my agriculture and not insurance industry that was top industry. I dunno how I managed to get to top 2% already.

WonGya wrote:Yes frightening is the highest economic level. Northern borland is the world#1 in economy at 108.8 and he is at frightening.

All 15 economy ratings from strongest to weakest.

Very Strong
Strong
Good
Fair
Reasonable
Developing
Struggling
Weak
Fragile
Basket Case
Imploded

Monsone wrote:Just speaking from experience here, your economic ranking is mainly decided by your Gross National Product (GNP or just economic output) which is represented by that little gear in the long list of different rankings. While in the real world even tiny nations can get pretty big GNPs, in NationStates the equation for GNP/economic output relies on population too. Hence, a larger nation with a economic level of Powerhouse can have a larger economic output than a relatively small nation with a economic ranking of all consuming. The best way to boost your economic level besides waiting for your population to grow it to try and diversify as much as possible. However, at a certain point you should start to focus on certain higher yield industries like tourism and manufacturing. Furthermore, certain other things can boost your economic level depending what sector you wish to boost like environmental beauty for tourism.

Now the second part of the equation is the misleading economy ranking that ranks you on how efficient your economy is. The more efficient it is, the higher an economic level you can get. Now, there is not really one clear way as far as I know to boost efficiency save for legalizing or even forcing the use of drugs as stimulants in your nation to make your people work harder and longer (yes, this is actually in an issue). Similarly, legalizing drugs doesn't help your economic efficiency as it has the opposite effect and decreases economic productivity. But other than that, it really baffles me how I have the second most efficient economy in the region.

Krezenel wrote:Anyone know how to submit ideas for the game to the creators of Nationstates?

Lawithon wrote:I tried submitting issues once how do you make it have actual effects not just the blurb of text at the end after the issue

Monsone wrote:It's even more complicated than that. You first need to draft the issue as well as it's options, and the little text blurb. Then you must also determine which nations can and cannot receive the issue based off criteria like if it's an issue about cash, nations with no cash can't get it. And this is all something you need to do before putting the first draft of your issue up on a forum (one of the in-game ones) so that everyone may give it constructive criticism and suggestions. After likely several rewrites, you can finally submit it, and even then, it's possible it will not be accepted for a whole variety of reasons. But if it is, you will be notified with a telegram.

Krezenel wrote:Here's an article to help: pages/submit_issue_guidelines.html
Here's where to submit the issues (I think): viewtopic.php?p=32581709

Lawithon wrote:Hey anyone know what the challenge button does?

Bearded Dragones wrote:It's sort of a competition; it compares a random set of your stats with your opponent's, and whoever has more higher numbers wins. As far as I know it has no practical effect, but it's fun. (Hope this makes sense, I'm really, really tired right now and not entirely sure this is coherent. So, you know, sorry if it's not.)

Baldwin Park wrote:I feel like mine is too high at 5.5%. I'm going for voodoo magic economy that is socialist yet with very low taxes or inequality at same time.

I feel that it is sensible to dismiss like 70% of the issues you get if they don't allow you to meet your predetermined priorities.

Way too many of the issues kneecap you economically at random or somehow have the inverse effect of what the dialogue espoused in the issue claims will happen.

I honestly dislike these surprises but don't want to read the effects of issue beforehand.

I always like to learn by doing and learning myself.

Anyways, ill shut up now. Thanks for reading.

Roleplay:

Sud stepenitz wrote:Hey all. I was wondering how this game's diplomacy actually works. As far as I can tell, there's no way nations can actually interact with one another, so I'm guessing it's all up to just roleplaying?

United states of gondor wrote:Yes! It's Roleplay... our Roleplay region is Dreams of Good Hope, and basically nothing is illegal, just like get permission from the country you want to RP with before you do something like destroy them or something.

The outland of outcasts wrote:Hey i was about to start roleplaying but then i realized i have no idea how SKAPNSIALA what do i say? Am i making too many questions?? Am i annoying??? Do you want me to shut up????

Zoninite wrote:just join in, be realistic, and try not to die from me or the other guys, and youre alive
and also a good rp

Determinia wrote:hey, BTW, I noticed the Dreams of Good hoper server focuses a lot on individuals' stories. Would posting international RP there (like interactions between nations) be wrong? If so, where would I post that?

The olivavan union wrote:Its absolutely a-OK to post international RPs in the Dreams of Good Hope RMB. Some prefer character RP, and some, like me, prefer big picture national scale RP. Some even like both.
Take my most recent post, for example:

New empire of humanity wrote:How do you write a message from this account on Dreams Of Good Hope chat?

United states of gondor wrote:We have an embassy with them, you go to the Dreams of Good Hope RMB and just type a message, just like you would here

The outland of outcasts wrote:Sooooo i'm interested in roleplaying, but i'm not sure where to start. Do any of you roleplay already? Are there any rules?

Aerlanica wrote:This may be a long one so sorry

Well, generally when you're roleplaying you have to be realistic with your tech. You cannot just appear out of nowhere with uber mega super death weapons with invincible armies and endless legions of mindless cyborg soldiers who feel no pain, fear or remorse.

When I slid into the RP, I was a nation that came out of isolation after a bloody civil war. My tech was slightly inferior to the other nations and the land was destroyed but my advantages revolved around the switzerland-afghanistan esque landscape (a guerrilla's and defending armies dream) and also the fact that once securing the new state, people would be very very unlikely to roll over. My nation knew this and sought out allies while also reverse-engineering acquired/purchased/stolen equipment discretely and researching stuff with the allies.

In my first RP I:

1. introduced a few members of the government, (namely the leader; Prime Minister Jonathan Blinds)

2. gave some aspects about Jonathan that fleshed him out as a character, but also showed some minor flaws as no one likes a Mary Sue (Jonathan was calculating and analytical, but at times could be rash and run headlong into things while also not seeing the apparent danger.)

3. Gave some world building aspects about my nation. (Wasteland of an environment emerging from a civil war, where the scars were still seen and felt.)

4. Tied it in to a second, possible RP exclusive of the other nations RP. (Part one of three if you will)

When Rathoria arrived, they were a space age nation that crashed landed in the North Pole. While they possessed advanced tech, they had no way to project their influence or invade anyone severely. Relations were naturally cold (do not pardon the pun) but after dialogue opened up they became part of the cape wide community.

In their first RP they:

1. showed a phenomena that drew the attention of the entire cape. (A streak of light hitting the North Pole)

2. gave something out of the ordinary. (radio signals, probes and other similar mechanical anomalies.

3. drew the interest of many nations (Operation Frozen North with the September Agreement and Monsone taking a saunter up there as well.)

Ultimately, how you rp is up to you; it's your nation and this is in no way a "YOU MUST DO THIS" because we're all chill, just remember to respect other peoples nations (except for Aerlanica; it's a motif that it keeps getting attacked and beaten up) and keep the RP to the Dreams of Good Hope. And remember to tag nations in the RP that you want to become directly involved with. ( use before the name of the country and after the name of the country. like, The outland of outcasts

Monsone wrote:Alright, so besides the buerocratic formalities, it's time to live up to the Cape's reputation of being an RP region. Below is a list of RPs that could be done in region. If you like one particularly post a mesage in the RMB stating which is your preference. You can change your choice any time.

Some RP Ideas:

-Revolution or Civil War in [insert country name]. Unfortunatelly someone will need to play the nation being aflicted by the civil war. The goal of the RP is to either destroy the rebels or form a solution that ceases the civil war/revolution...after much bloodshed.

-International Disputes. One country doesn't like that another country posseses something that is very desirable. Solvable either diplomatically or with all out war. And yes, you can use other nations to pressure nations into "giving" you something.

-War. Need I say more? One country fights another for possibly good, or likely bad reasons.

-International Summit. Do you want more global prestige? Do you want to show off how powerful your nation is? Make a global summit and try to woo world leaders and their entourages into supporting the whole goal of the summit. Bur be careful. One small mistake and you might make a very powerful enemy.

-Diseases. I know Roxium has started a similar RP, but hey, the more diseases the more frustrated your scientists will get! Anyone can create the disease, just don't godmod it or else it becomes unenjoyable because your whole population is dead.

If you have any other suggestions, I will add them to to this list. For the suggestions, please do telegram me. But please post your answers to the list above in the RMB.

Super Duper Nice People wrote:How do I get involved in the Role Play stuff? I've wanted to but I haven't really understood what it is or how to do it

Sparanoda wrote:We are basically creating stories together about international politics and other stuff based on our nations. Start by coming up with the basics of what your nation is like (a poverty-stricken empire, a democracy stilling dealing with the effects of a horrific civil war, a nation based on a real-life nation, etc.), and then jump into what other nations are doing, or start your own story and other nations will join in.

Lawithon wrote:In my case my nation is a vast and wealthy empire but is crippled by partisan politics and is mid way into entering a veitnam style military quagmire.

Right now the Moderate party is in control of the executive and upper legislative branches and the Left Leaning party is in control of the Lower legislative. Both legislative houses have been heavily contested by the Right Leaning party. President Borinton of the Moderate party is on his final term and is set to retire as a popular leader with the only stain on his reputation being the beginning of the war with Thette chast should that desolve into a military quagmire (It probably will but I haven't decided yet).

Azulakas wrote:Talking about joining rps~

I as the regional cartographer would like to remind us all about the map! It may be useful for the rps and help you plan.. oh I dunno, invasions and what not. Either way its a great way to get into some of the rps by having other nations crash their space doo-hickeys into your land and get you randomly mentioned on here as they build a regional railroad through your territory.

So sign up for a spot today~!

Like what are the rules of engaguemant.

Sparanoda wrote:Other nations also joined late, so my guess is that you can join too. For RP, try to do something that fits into and adds to the previous RP posts. Of course, if you are doing something not based on previous posts, there really aren't any restrictions or directions. Right now, people are taking turns at proposals at the summit, with Azulakas up next (I'm not sure who goes after them). Avoid making other nations' people or things do stuff, in case they would do it differently. It is like that game where you make a story by everyone adding a word. You can't change what someone else said, but you can do pretty much whatever you want.

But, by all means, join the RP! You can read through previous RP posts to get a feel for how it goes.

Monsone wrote:Maybe we should have a map of the different climates across the regional map.

Sparanoda wrote:(Hey, you altered your flag! Nice!)

Who would choose the climates? Azulakas or the individual nations?

Azulakas wrote:The only information I have on climates is the old map inherited from former cartographer New cashistan. Which is little to nothing. All I can say is that from the small biome symbols, I can only infer vague climates and landscapes.

Therefore, any nation can basically do what ever they want honestly. Though, if we want to follow realism and the old map designations then I am open to collecting information to better map out climates and biomes.

Lawithon wrote:What do you do in them

Bearded Dragones wrote:Here are some info dispatches:
N-day:

OVERVIEW

N-Day is an opportunity for nations to come together and exchange nuclear weapons in a fiery Armageddon of mutually assured destruction.

To Participate

  1. Once registration opens, you can create or join a Faction. Nations outside a Faction can't attack or be attacked. You can join a Faction when you're ready and leave when you're not (to stay safe).

  2. When the event begins, nations will be assigned a random Specialty and begin to accumulate Production. You will now be able to spend Production, fire nukes and deploy shields.

  3. Watch your nation automatically generate Production at a rate of 1 every 2 minutes. Use it to build Nukes and Shield.

  4. Launch Nukes at other nations and use Shield to shoot down Nukes that are launched at you.

Tactics

The simplest way to play N-Day is to join whichever Faction seems most fun and start targeting Nukes at its enemies while shooting down anything incoming. Your Faction page's icon bar shows everything you need to know, including who's targeting anyone in your Faction, and who your fellow Faction members are targeting.

Attacking: Step by Step

  1. On your Production screen, spend some of your Production to build Nukes. These go into your Stockpile.

  2. On another nation's Nuke page, click/tap the TARGET button and select the number of Nukes to use.

  3. Once Targeted, it takes 10 minutes for your Nukes to reach a READY state (3 for Intel Specialists). Note that your Targeted page is public: All nations can see who is targeting whom.

  4. When your Targeted Nukes are ready, click/tap LAUNCH.

  5. Your Nukes are now categorized as Launches for you and Incoming for your target. Launched Nukes take 3-5 minutes to reach their target. When they do, they earn Strikes for you and inflict Radiation on the target, which reduces their rate of Production. This also earns Score for your Faction and reduces the enemy Faction's Score.

Defending: Step by Step

  1. On the Production screen, spend Production to build Shield.

  2. Find Launched Nukes to destroy. Your top priority is any Incoming Nukes launched at you. Secondarily, you may wish to target Incoming Nukes on anyone in your Faction (see your Faction's Incoming page), and also keep an eye on Targeted Nukes that may threaten you or your Faction in the near future.

  3. Click/tap DESTROY to deploy 1 Shield per Nuke.

Strategy

Strategically, it may be wise to avoid attacks on nations or Factions until you are confident of obliterating them, since this eliminates the possibility of counter-attack. Smaller-scale attacks, which damage but don't destroy an enemy, can lead to an escalating series of grudge-related nuclear exchanges.

On the other hand, targeting an enemy can be an effective warning. And it takes Nukes 10 minutes to be ready to launch, so you can't leave it too late.

Scoring

Each Nuke that reaches a target causes Radiation damage, which reduces the target's rate of Production generation and counts as a Strike for the attacker.

A Faction's Score is Strikes minus Radiation.

Duration

N-Day lasts for 24 hours, after which point, an Arms Control Agreement means that no Nukes can be launched. (In-flight nukes can still land, however.)

The "winner" is the Faction with the highest score; if, that is, nuclear war can be said to have a winner. Which we say it can. It's the Faction with the highest score.

FACTIONS

Once registration opens, Factions can be founded by a Regional Officer of any region. Any and all Regional Officers of that region can update the Faction's official text to issue instructions to Faction members.

Factions can be made open to all members, or restricted to the region's members only.

You can leave your Faction, which is a good way to stay safe if you're signing off for the night. However, you can only do this if you're not engaged with the enemy! That means:

  • You must not have any nukes targeted or launched at another nation; and

  • No nukes can be targeted or incoming on you.

Note that in practice, this can make it challenging to leave a Faction, since you may be frequently targeted.

While outside a Faction, you cannot be targeted, and do not generate any Production.

Before joining, it's worth making sure a Faction isn't currently under mass bombardment.

SPECIALTIES

Nations are randomly assigned a specialty.

Military Specialists build Nukes faster: They receive 50% more Nukes when converting Production.

Strategic Specialists build Shield faster: They receive 50% more Shield when converting Production.

Economic Specialists can accumulate more Production: Their production cap is four times larger than the other specialties.

Intel Specialists can finalize targets faster: Their targetted nukes reach READY in 3 minutes instead of 10. They have no Production advantages.

Non-WA nations automatically generate Production at a rate of 1 Production per 2 minutes, up to a maximum of 50 (200 for Econ Specialists).
WA nations automatically generate Production at a rate of 10 Production per 2 minutes, up to a maximum of 150 (600 for Econ Specialists).

Production can be spent on Nukes or Shield.

WA NATIONS
World Assembly members will accumulate Production 10x faster than non-WA members, and have their Production limits increased by 3x.
It is allowed to switch WA membership to receive this benefit for different nations, but (as per regular site rules) you are only allowed to have one nation in the WA at a time.
Keep in mind that if your Production is over the non-WA limit when you resign membership on a nation, the Production on that nation will decrease down to the limit (i.e. if you resign with 75 Production on a non-Econ nation, the Production will drop to 50).

We ask that you refrain from switching WA for N-Day purposes more than once every two minutes. You will not be punished for this, but it is against the spirit of this change to the event mechanics.

NUKES

Nukes are purchased with Production, kept in stockpile until ready, then targeted and launched at an enemy nation.

Launched Nukes take 3-5 minutes to reach their target. While in-flight, they can be shot down by any nation using Shield. If they're not, each Nuke generates 1% of Radiation in the target and earns 1 Strike for the attacker.

SHIELD

Shield can be used to knock out Launched Nukes. You can shoot down any in-flight Nukes regardless of who they are aimed at.

Locate in-flight Nukes under Launches or Incoming, and use the DESTROY button to eliminate them at a rate of 1 Shield per Nuke.

It is possible to waste Shield if multiple nations deploy Shield simultaneously to knock out the same Nukes.

TARGETING

Target a nation by viewing their Nuke page and clicking/tapping TARGET. You may then select how many Nukes to target from your Stockpile.

It takes a short time for a Targeted Nuke to reach a READY state, after which it may be launched. This is normally 10 minutes, but Intel Specialists are faster, finalizing targets in only 3 minutes.

If not launched after 1 hour, Targeted Nukes automatically return to your Stockpile.

RADIATION

Radiation is generated in a nation when it is struck by a Nuke.

Radiation proportionately reduces a nation's Production generation rate. For example, 20% Radiation reduces Production generation by 20%.

When a nation is 100% Radiated, it is destroyed and no longer able to launch any Nukes nor use any Shield.

Radiation is irreversible.

You can leave a Faction when irradiated, but this does not affect your Faction's score.

SCORE

A Faction's score measures strikes and radiation that occurred while those nations were a member. It is unaffected by nations joining or leaving the Faction.

[REBORN GUIDE REVISION 12]

If you feel a piece of information should be here and it isn't, let Yenikader know and he'll credit you for it!

There are plenty of Z-Day Guides out there, but none of them have gained any of the widespread attraction like the N-Day Guide. Either because it's poorly made, information is missing, or it's more of a propaganda tool by a certain region. This Z-Day Guide will attempt to solve all those issues and make the community involved. More details are in the credits section.

Z-Day Information

What is Z-Day?

Z-Day is an annual event on NationStates that takes place around Halloween.More info in section 3.
It's the time of year where the zombies rise from the rise to wreak havoc on all regions! There is no opt-out for Z-Day, unlike N-Day.
However, just like N-Day, the effects are only temporary, and after the event is over, it's like it never happened. Except for a news post after the event. That happens.
Regions may fall or thrive in this unique environment, depending on numerous factors.
The zombies make up most of the world population before they inevitably rot away, either from zombie starvation or human intervention, taking around 70%[1] of the world's population with them.

Z-Day has its origins as an April Fools Day event, which has been a tradition of NationStates since 2004 when every nation's population count went down to 5 million. These events have gotten a lot more complicated (and less mean) than 17 years ago, and have changed NationStates in a number of ways. Many game mechanics/events have been introduced in these, including the World Assembly (2008)[2], N-Day (2017), Trading Cards (2018), and finally, Z-Day, which debuted in 2013. Over the years, some obstacles have been introduced to make the game harder for those already experienced, but in general, it's still the same basic formula.

Okay, but how does it work?

I'm glad you asked.

When Z-Day begins, a tab on your nation's profile opens up called Zombie Control. From there, a special issue comes up with one of three options that looks something like this..

The Issue

Recent reports suggest that the dead are rising from their graves, displaying aggressive, flesh-eating behavior. If allowed to bite a living individual, such traits can pass to the victim, causing them, too, to become a roaming zombie. This may be NATION's darkest hour.

The Debate

1.“One is always tempted to err on the side of compassion, in these situations, hoping the infected might be able to be cured,” says General RANDOMNAME. “And that would be a terrible mistake. We must marshal the full force of NATION's military might against these undead abominations while we still have the ability to do so.”

2.“No! No!” cries bespectacled science type RANDOMNAME. “I know this looks bad, but these people aren't monsters! They're husbands, wives, brothers, children! Our efforts must go into researching a cure—a cure that could not only save NATION but also our neighbors in REGION! Working together with our fellow nations is the only way out of this nightmare!”

3.“I'm going to just float something here,” says political advisor RANDOMNAME. “What if instead of gunning down our infected, or throwing money after a cure that may not even exist, we get on board with the zombie apocalypse? If we work with the zombies, not against them, maybe this needn't be so bad. Perhaps we can even figure out a way to sustain an undead population indefinitely.”

If we work with the zombies, not against them, maybe this needn't be so bad. Perhaps we can even figure out a way to sustain an undead population indefinitely.”

The population of your nation is split into three tabs: Alive/People, Zombies, and Dead. Everyone starts out Alive, but they will slowly turn into Zombies as the event progresses, in an S curve.[3]
Eventually, the Zombies will starve and turn Dead. Once again, this happens on an S curve basis, mainly because zombies starve at mostly the same rate.

Choosing the Exterminate Zombies option will make superweapons that turn Zombies into Dead. This is generally faster but decreases the number of people that are alive.

Choosing the Research Cure option will make superweapons that turn Zombies into People. This is generally slower but keeps people alive.

Choosing the Embrace Zombies option will make superweapons that turn People into Zombies. This isn't for everyone, but there's always someone.

You can change your decision at any time provided you weren't turned into a zombie producer, and all your superweapon work gets saved.

Wait, superweapons? That's right.
After choosing one of the three options, the Superweapons tab opens up. This is most of the entire game in this single tab.
Superweapons take time to complete, but once they're done, you can use them as many times as you like.
This only applies to Extermination and Research, for Zombificiation is entirely dependent on how many zombies are in your nation.[4]
Superweapons can be used every 20 seconds, except if you were struck by one, in which you can't use one for 2 minutes.
Trying to use a superweapon before the 20 seconds are up will reset the timer.
The higher the level of a superweapon, the more powerful it is, and bigger nations' superweapons are more effective than nations that are smaller.

What about if you get turned into a "zombie producer", like I've been mentioning?
If a zombie producer with a high enough superweapon hits you enough times, they can turn you into a zombie producer.
Turning nations into zombie producers freezes any progress they've made on extermination/curing, instead making new zombie progress.
Conversely, if a curer/exterminator hits a converted zombie producer enough times, they can reverse the zombie producer back to what they were previously.

Since you can't use superweapons on yourself, you have to use it on your regionmates. Likewise, they can use their superweapons on you.
You can also move regions, provided they are either free to enter or you can get through their barriers to entry.
In addition, a Founder or an executive WA Delegate can kick other members out of their region even during Z-Day.
But let's be honest. Doing that isn't really fun.

I'm hooked! When is Z-Day so I can participate?

Z-Day is a little inconsistent when it comes to timing. You won't always get the same time, or even a time at all.[5]
With that said, in recent years, the time seems to be October 30th at 8:00pm UTC.[6]
That doesn't mean it will always occur at that time! Always refer to the what the News says, and if it refuses to tell you, then probably nobody knows.
That just means you have to be constantly aware, or a friend will tell you, if you have any.

How do I play?

How do I get started?

It's somewhat simple to get started, really. The hard part is surviving.
Like I said earlier, when Z-Day starts, all nations that currently exist get a prompt on your Zombie Control asking them to either kill the undead, cure them, or become one. This includes you.
Exterminating is quick to produce superweapons for, but has the intended side-effect of killing the undead that was once people.
Curing is slow to produce superweapons for, and you may be overwhelmed by zombies before you can do so, but if you are able to, you can turn the undead back into regular people again.
Embracing zombies is entirely dependent on your zombie supply, and you may get destroyed before you get a chance, but you can wreak havoc on regions if you're strong enough.

Z-Day is not just about deciding what to do with the undead, it's also about regions. You can only interact with people in your region.
You can, however, move regions as many times as you wish.
However, unless you were in the region before Z-Day,[citation needed] you cannot enter regions that are passcode protected without the correct passcode.
In many ways, you are at the mercy of either your region's executive WA's delegate, Founder, or both.
They can kick you out, kick others out, install a passcode, or let other nations come in.

What should I expect?

You can expect a few things. That you'll pick one of three options, as well as what you've come to expect from whoever's in your region.

DON'T LET YOUR GUARD DOWN
Zombies spread to nations in the same region. This means you always have to be aware of your region mates.
In addition, sometimes the game may itself change. In Z-Day 9, regions were plagued with an unknown start time and two interventions.
You must prepare for anything and everything to go wrong, because the zombie apocalypse is not your friend.

COMMUNICATION
If you have a particularly small and yet well-communicated region, you can use communication to your advantage.
Recommended programs to use include Skype and Discord. Others can be used, but you may experience problems in communication.
Use programs to tell where your superweapons need to strike, about any new threats, etc.
The larger the region, the less effective this becomes, as the more people you try to coordinate the same plan to, the more likely someone's going to mess something up. It doesn't mean it's impossible though.

RAIDING AND DEFENDING DURING Z-DAY
A similar thing to the cycle of raiding and defending happens during Z-Day as well.
If you're a particularly large zombie producer, and you enter into a weak unlocked region, you can effectively take over the region with zombies.
For regions that are vulnerable to large zombie producers, there's a simple fix. Just lock your region to outsiders.
It's not quite that easy, though. You need to make it so your password can't be guessed easily by raiders

PRO TIPS
The apocalypse usually lasts between 24-48 hours. (I can't remember how long exactly..)
Have a great timezone spread. Make it at least 1-2 people are online for every hour of the day. The more, the better. If you have a weak spot in your timezone spread, someone can exploit that.

FOOTNOTES

1. It depends on the year.

2. Except, this was the only one that wasn't a prank.. this actually happened.

3. The best way to see this is by seeing the overall Z-Day Tally.

4. Extermination/Research also partially depends on how many Dead/Alive people are in your nation, respectively.

5. This happened in Z-Day 1 (April 2013) and Z-Day 9 (2020), both for different reasons.

6. You're actually going to have to use a timezone converter for this one. It's so easy though, you can do it, I believe in you!

Fun Fact: The font family used for Z-Day is IM Fell English SC, and the font is Serif. However, I can't quite get it to display.

Why you should endorse fellow members of the Cape:

Bearded Dragones wrote:Endorsements don't just benefit each nation; they benefit the region as a whole. It would be counterproductive to willingly lose the influence we do gain from their presence + us endorsing them just because it could be higher if they endorsed us back.

That, and I imagine it would be a nightmare for the folks who set up the endo campaigns.

Issues
WonGya wrote:In my almost 2 years of playing, i say keeping taxes low, if that's something you want, is the single most difficult thing to do as almost all issues results in tax increase. A few things I've learnt.

It's rare, but after you past 40% taxes, you can get an issue that basically allows you to cut everything. I can't recall the exact issue and it sounds scary but it will bring taxes down to the single digits if your taxes are low enough. Its completely worth it as you can work to get others stats back up and if you are smart about it, without bringing taxes back to the previous level. I've had 2 in all the time I've played. But its how my taxes are 12%.

nation=wongya/detail=trend?censusid=49

The other thing I've learnt to manage tax is to dismiss issues that i don't feel strongly about. Since almost everything results in a tax increase, you need to consider if government should be involved and spending money on everything.

I think most long term players end up in the a tax hole, usually after they past 65% is my guess. I see many long time nations with 80 or 90%+ taxes where at that point it's kind of like, fk it, i want this issue outcome and my taxes are sky high anyways, what's another tax hike. And once you get to that point i think it's almost impossible to get out of that hole.

(Map Scale)
Klostersee wrote:Another question. What's the scale of the regional map? It would help me plan out the total size of my nation.

Azulakas wrote:That I do not know, when I became Cartographer I was handed a map with no scale. So, I would say it is up to you to determine the size of your nation. If you wish, I'm sure a few nations that have a size of a specific area in mind are willing to share that information, so you can roughly compare your own nation to that.

(Claiming Map Territories)

WonGya wrote:Their added value supports your international artwork stat. If you have epic and legendary cards, they are valuable enough that you can auction them on the market and have a chance someone will pay higher than the junk value for them. You can also junk cards for their junk value in exchange for money you can use in the market to bid on and acquire cards which can increase or decrease in value.

Lastly, it may be just fun to have cards of other nations in the game, maybe an interesting way to discover other nations, as well as learn what qualifies some nations to be considered epic, vs some are just common.

Issues that have economic impact are frequent so you will likely have made decisions on dozens of issues impacting economy by then.

Most sensible responses to issues improve the economy. To the extent imo where it's very hard not to improve your economy unless you don't address issues.

So basically, my opinion is, address issues and by the time you have addressed more than 50 issues (around 2wk to 4wks of active play), i would be very surprised if your economy isn't improved.

Does it count as slavery or something? Just a bit curious

Honojiwa is a small city located towards the middle of the Roxium/Bearded Dragones border. Recently the city has been the site of a strange phenomena that's randomly transforming its residents into different alien races that have been identified as being indigenous to a planet in solar system Cothica-Alpha 2 called Perim. At the moment this "disease" as the Roxium Pandemic Response and Control Center calls it, has so far remained isolated to Honojiwa and its immediate surroundings. As a precaution, all magrail services to Honojiwa has been suspended. Due to Honojiwa's location on the Roxium/Bearded Dragones border, all border crossings for both Gyotama and Zinnitaigo Counties have been closed.

Any nations listening to the airwaves may have noticed the sudden appearance of a new radio source broadcasting from The Roxium Federation Cape of Good Hope Territory Zulu Prefecture: a radio station called Radio Otaku. The very first thing said radio station plays is the third opening song from The Avatar Chronicles: Aang. The song starts off with a melancholic vibe using traditional Chinese instruments before instilling a feeling of hope as it evolves into an epic mixture of traditional Chinese and modern rock music with classic orchestral instruments thrown in for good measure. The song is sung primarily in Pogashanese, a traditional Roxium language best described as a mixture of Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. The song also has some English in it. The name of the song is Ta-Persova, Hope for the Future!, by a Roxium band called Rosunda JAMMA.

Monsone wrote:And so, the RP begins.

Fall colors spread across Cape of Good Hope. It was a time to prepare for winter. Yet, in the northern reaches of Monsone, trouble was brewing.
For nearly two hundered years, the small province of Sarskreik had been a mainly agricultural region known for being pircturesque and remote. But, it was all to change.
One night, in the city of Sarkreik, when the streets were devoid of activity, and the streetlights cast erie glows, a loud boom was heard; a boom like no other. It ripped the air in half and then, a explosion of light. As if the sun had risen. The sky was iluminated by shades of white, yellow, purple, blue, red, and pink.
The citizens of Sarkreik rushed out to see the comotion, only to see their sky glowing in the night. Then, as misteriously as it had come, it dissapeared.

Ministry of the Interior-Serversvik-Next Day

Minister of the Interior, James Koftk sat silent as the report was given. His mouth was dry and being roused mere minutes after the event didn't help. As the oral reading of the report came to an end, James walked out of the room.
On his way out, James was tapped on his shoulder. Pivotting to see who had done it, James came face to face with the Minister of Defense, Adriana Galegikask. She had a stern look on her face, and just like James, she was exteremely tired.

"What do you think cause it?" Adriana asked shrilly.

"I don't know." James replied as he rubbed his face, attempting to stay awake. "All we know is that we've lost contact with the town of Santk Jamesh. " He added on.

"Well the MoD (Ministry of Defense) is formulating ideas ranging from conspiracy theories involving aliens and radiation to a plane crash." Adriana replied.

"Lets talk it over coffee." James stated as Adriana nodded in aproval and they walked away.

Santk Jamesh-Same Day

A woman, no older than 23 and about 5'4 looked around. Smouldering remains and smoke filled the vista, obscuring the beautifull views of the Techraij Mountains. She nodded as she continued to survey her suroundings. The Commander would be proud.

Then, another woman, similar in age, but of a height of 5'3 popped out of a small metalic pod that was smouldering. She looked tired, and a bit uptight. In hand was a small orb with swirling smoke inside. Upon tapping it twice, a pre recorded message began.

"The fleet wil arive in three months. In that time, learn all you can about this region. The intel will be crucial. All means of gaining intel are allowed, but if the governments of the region find out, we are doomed. If you fail, both of you will be fed to the hellhounds."

The message ended. Both women nodded at eachother. Little to their knowlege, a singe security camera had survived the blast, and had recorded said message.

Ministry of Defense-Seversvik-Same Day-Five Hours Later

All the ministers were exhausted. Having been awoken at 1:30 in the morning. Criticaly, most of the minister were concerned. The PM was rumored to be angry, and this could be bad, very bad.

Just then, Albert Pryesmaan (the PM), clearly invigorated by several espressos marched in with an odd smile on his face.

"Well, since you all heard the recording, you know what I will say. Plan, prepare, and notify the Cape of Good Hope nations. We've survived other space invasions, often worse. I'm certain we can survive this." Albert Pryesmaan stated, clearly not worried, but excited by the prospect of intergalactic war.

At 18:30 Seversvik time, all Monsonian embassies in Cape of Good Hope recieved the details regarding the incident and the protocol. Buy 00:00 hours, all nations had been notified.

Somewhere in orbit not far from The porsche islands.

Due to the New Sozin Order crisis and possible Elysium attack above Birmingham, Kollumbia, the Roxium United Armed Force has expanded its orbital patrols to encompass nearly the entire Cape of Good Hope. This includes a route that passes close to The porsche islands at an average altitude of 300 miles above the Earth's surface. During one of these patrols, something happens. (Start of the New Sozin Order RP, near the bottom of the page.)

R.U.A.F Cape of Good Hope Division 97th Ko-Lhou Fleet, 301 miles above The porsche islands territorial waters.

"Sector scan complete. No unusual signatures detected."

"Okay. Proceed to the final sector, then rendezvous with the Alrest Division 82nd Argentum Fleet and wait for further orders."

The Cape of Good Hope Division 97th Ko-Lhou Fleet is a small recon and patrol fleet consisting of mostly lightly to moderately armed battle cruisers and battle corvettes with a single Fuji-class Sub-Capital ship as the leader. The bulk of the battle corvettes are Galileo-class with the occasional Orion-class thrown in for heavy support fire, while the battle cruisers consists entirely of Nimbus and Yokai-class ships.
Aboard the Fuji-class Sub-Capital ship, the crew are going about their normal duties, such as general internal maintenance, keeping the ship from drifting off course, and making sure no hostile alien factions get anywhere near the Earth's surface. "Again, why are we stuck here instead of fighting the New Sozin Order?" asks a bored crew member. The captain, a veteran of the First Universal War, says "The Roxium Federation can't focus all its efforts on a single threat, especially when there's bigger threats out there such as War'Shara or the Radika, as doing so would leave us open to attack. They're also not taking any chances because the Radika has just recently launched another attack on the Trigon Defense Line." Just than, an alarm goes off. "We've just detected a warp signature!" yells a female crew member. "Are you able to identify it?" asks the captain. "Already on it!"

Hoplites! Based on the results of our poll about at what stage nations of the region are at in playing NationStates, here are the highlights:

  • 24 nations participated, pretty good. Slightly down from 26 of the last poll.

  • Most nations in the region are issues-focused players with 54% (13/24) nations indicating they are stat and achievement-driven. The nations that selected this option were all less than 1 billion in population

  • The amount of RP-focused players and the amount of who's played a while and aren't as engaged are about the same at 16% (4/24) of nations.

  • A couple of nations (8%) have a lot going on IRL so it's been hard to engage in the game, fading in and out. The nations that selected this option, as well as the last 2 mentioned, were more likely to have populations of over 1 billion

  • One nation indicated they are just starting out and is just trying to figure the game out

  • 26 nations participated in this poll. Pretty good! higher than many of the previous polls!

  • 42% (11/26) nations would be cool with a virtual option and was the most popular choice

  • Dispute my very bad grammar, people still understood and decided security is important and should hike taxes to pay for it. Specifically, 27% (7/26) participants felt this way.

  • Although almost the same amount, 23% (6/26), would save the money and invest in their own nation instead

  • A couple of nations actually opt to provide their own situation with their nations, as seen below

  • 22 nations participated in this poll, one less than the last poll. Still a reasonably good turn-out whenever we get more than 20 votes.

  • 55% (12/22) nations wanted to gauge which stage in everyone is in how they play NS, so that'll be our next poll topic. Slated for early August

  • 32% (7/22) participants were curious who watched anime, which somewhat surprised me. Since I reference anime in RP, I was just curious about it myself. This poll topic will take place in the second-ish week of August

  • Lastly, 3 nations wanted to know who in the region has enacted legislation on AI citizenship within their nations. Tx Sparanoda for this topic suggestion. This poll topic will be put up around the 3rd week of August

  • The last week of Augst will see another poll to determine Sept's poll topics

Hoplites! Based on the results of our poll about what time period would you prefer RPs to take place?, here are the highlights:

  • 23 nations participated in this poll. it's reasonably good turn-out whenever we get more than 20 votes, but some of our best polls were in the 30s!

  • 61% (14/23) of nations prefer RP to take place in current day and was the most popular choice

  • At second place was a fictional, non-typical timeline with 6 votes, which is my preference for RP as well as I RP based on lore established from a fictional anime series.

  • Conventional tropes of a sci-fi future and fantasy past also got 2 votes and 1 vote respectively, rounding off the rest of the votes

  • Surprisingly, no one wanted to RP in the historic past. I guess history is boring :P

  • Interesting, not only was the current day the most popular choice, it was the overwhelming choice of WA nations. With 9 of the 14 votes from WA nations, just the votes from the WA nations would have won this poll for the current day!

Out of curiosity, please give your feedback, do you guys actually like these summaries, let me know if you don't.

Hoplites! Based on your participation in what should a united Cape of Good Hope currency be called, here are the highlights:

  • 30 nations participated in this poll, which makes it among the highest participated polls in recent history

  • Unfortunately, the majority of nations (53%) voted that the whole idea was a bad one and that the cape shouldn't unite into a single currency. The message has been heard loud and clear but the outcome was also a bit unexpected as I only intended the poll to be hypothetical, 'If' all of the regions united into an EU like region with a unified currency, what should be the currency be called? (i.e. in the EU they use euros). Nonetheless, this option was for anyone who had strong feelings against such an idea and indeed many nations did!

  • In terms of people who did enjoy the idea, the option 'Golden Seashells' (proposed by Sparanoda) being a very Cape of Good Hope themed currency name, was the most popular option with 30% of the votes.

  • Second most popular choice was Capos, which I just randomly came up got the remaining 17% of all votes.

  • Surprisingly 'Hopes' did not receive any votes even though it was proposed as a name by several in the pre-poll. And 'Goods' also received no votes, probably for obvious reasons.

Thanks again for this poll topic and everyone who participated! If you have a poll idea please post it on here at the RMB or telegram me as it's almost assured to be made into an official poll.

Hoplites! Based on your participation of what our next poll should be, here are the highlights:

  • 15 nation participated in this poll, resuming to the participation levels of the polls before this last one

  • It would seem the region really enjoys naming things as 40% of votes were for the next poll to be about if our region united into an EU like region with a unified currency, what should be the currency be called.

  • A poll to determine the hosting nation for CGHIS2020 RP (Cape of Good Hope International Summit 2020) did initially lag behind in second place all the way until to the last day of the poll when it got 1 more vote to tie with the just mentioned topic at 6 votes (40%)

  • If some of you may have recalled, Azulakas did propose a poll for what time period would you prefer RPs to take place?, and 20% of voters did want to see that poll come to pass.

  • No one wanted to have a 3rd round of the nation/people of the region shorthand as the next poll. So we'll save it until there's interest from more Hoplites

  • It sounds like no one wanted more polls about polls and how polls can be better polls so I'm guessing also no more polls about what poll topic should be the next poll because that's just too much poll on poll action....... polls.

Thanks again for this poll topic and everyone who participated! If you have a poll idea please post it on here at the RMB or telegram me as it's almost assured to be made into an official poll.

This poll actually establishes what our next 3 polls are going to be (assuming we don't change it), happening based on best-performing topics on this poll:

Next Poll (late June) - if our region united into an EU like region with a unified currency, what should be the currency be called (as it was the winner most of the poll term)
Poll After (early July) - poll to determine the hosting nation for CGHIS2020 RP (Cape of Good Hope International Summit 2020). Monsone, can you remind me of the candidates? Or if you wish to lobby for more candidates?

  • Many nations also wanted to see and participate in more humour, banter and jokes in the RMB. As a matter of fact, it was the second most voted for response at 42% of votes. • At 7 votes each, there is an equal amount of nations that believe we should be rid of x as there were who thought x should be given a fair shot. Those 2 responses were the most popular, representing 78% of votes

  • WA member nations were most likely to select giving x a shot, but not by a large margin

  • 3 nations were DMX fans and/or wants X to give it to them, but.... somehow aren't DMX fans

1) There was a record turnout for this latest poll, with 37 participating nations! 31 of which (84%) were relatively new nations of the Cape of Good Hope
2) The answer with the most votes (49%) was approx. 200,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. A popular internet source does estimate that there could be approx 2 x 10^23 stars in the universe... so good job voters of this answer. For reference, there is an approx. one hundred billion stars in the milky way, our own galaxy amount billions in the universe
3 ) The second most voted for answer (27%) was that that there are as many stars as there are dreams in the astroplane, which was a surprise to me cuz, I was probably high when I came up with that option. So way to go fellow LSD using nations
4) 5 nations thought they were the only star but let's face it, there can't be 5 stars, there can be only one. So these 5 nations must settle this....highlander style to earn the damn love they so damn think they damn deserve
5) 3 nations hated the available answer options and 2 provided their reasons on the RMB and are below.

  • Compilation of some (perhaps all in the future) poll summaries moving forward.

  • As a regional flag maker, Lawithon can provide any nation in the region a custom flag crafted by him if they desire one. Lawithon will post a dispatch detailing the kind of flag work he has done and how you can get a flag from him!

  • Identifying posts in the RMB worthy of record and chronicling it in a regionally pinned dispatch for future reference, starting with certain categories (perhaps all in the future) of RMB posts

  • Notifying nations (in some and maybe in the future all cases) on the RMB that their posts have been recorded into a records keeper dispatch to encourage and recognize participants of the RMB who've provided posts worthy of record.

I hope y'all have received a telegram from Emiline recently encouraging all of you to take a moment to check out the AA discord. Something I admit myself I wasn't a part of until fairly recently but it can be a lot of additional fun above and beyond purely playing NS on here.

I have mentioned before, we here at the cape is part of a bigger world of the August Alliance. Not only does the AA discord provide a dedicated channel for Cape nations to interact, you'll have the opportunity to shot the sh*t with AA member nations from throughout the alliance on discord, they are active and a fun bunch.

And there are other benefits of joining the discord:

  • Be automatically alerted of new WA nations in the region for easy endorsing

  • Easy lookup of nation information, who has or has not endorsed you, who you have yet to endorse, etc

  • Possible in real-time chatting, both in alliance wide channels, which are very very active, and on the Cape's dedicated channel (which I admit isn't very active right now, but we can change that)

  • Have fun and interact via memes, exchange media, use features of a modern chat and social board platform in ways the RMB can't do

  • Help the AA and the region in addition ways such as recruiting, etc

  • If there is enough interest from regional nations, besides the cape's dedicated channel there are actually dedicated RP channels on the discord for cape nations to utilize as well

  • Make me look good cuz ppl on the AA discord would love to see and meet more of us Hoplites and asks me why i don't make you guys come lol

WonGya wrote:REGIONAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Hello fellow Hoplites! I'm coming to y'all with another regional announcement. In our continuing effort to improve the cape, below are a couple regional officer openings that need to be filled:

  • Surveyor - responsible for the various polls that have been posted for regional nations to vote on. Also holds the responsibility of the realm of polling in general (currently being fulfilled by your very own WAD)

  • Recruitment Officer - responsible for sending recruitment telegrams to promising nations through nationstates to join our wonderful region. There is a simple system already in place that's like a cookbook to follow.

There are some requirements for each officer but I wanted to gauge interest first, so if you are interested, please telegram me to let me know and I'll be happy to share those with you. If you are wondering what's the benefit of being an officer for the region, here are a few:

  • Helping the CGH become a better place through your contribution and work in your officer role responsibilities

  • Recognition from our fellow regional peers of your elevated position of responsibility which is shown on the regional page with your nations name and your position

  • Be given capabilities and controls within the game and the region that you wouldn't otherwise have (various depending on officer role)

  • Increased rate of growth for your nation's reputation as part of your gameplay stats

  • Feel super cool being an 'officer'

Hope you are interested. The one requirement I will disclose beforehand is that since nations can enter and exit the region so frequently and quickly at times, it's preferred that officers of the region have been with the region for a period of time.

So if you are interested in becoming an officer of the region, please telegram me!

WonGya wrote:Hi fellow Hoplites! I wanted to bring to your attention a new dispatch that's been created and pinned to the regional page for your consideration.

page=dispatch/id=1401487

We have a lot of fun on the RMB and sometimes there are posts which are noteworthy which I feel may be useful for others in the future, provide an example of how we go about certain things, or just fun and interesting posts. So the purpose of this is to capture some of those things in a way that's usable for reference.

Whether it's new nations asking questions which we often have the same answers to, cool RP that we've had over the years, notable formal communications or humor, I've tried and intend to continue to maintain this dispatch to record these things (using my best judgement on what I consider worth capturing). I would love to get help to maintain something like this, but as dispatches can't be edited by multiple nations, the responsibility falls on me to continue (or not) in maintaining such a dispatch.

I would love it if you can take a moment to take a look, give it an upvote if you like it, and let me know your thoughts here on the RMB or via telegram. Cheers!

WonGya wrote:IMPORTANT UPDATE ON THE RECENT CHANGE IN REGION DELEGATE

Some of you may have noticed that due to some movement in endorsements recently, the role of regional delegate has recently be moved from Bearded Dragones to WonGya (myself).

Bearded Dragones has exchanged telegrams with me and was incredibly great in giving me his support for regional delegate and I have decided that I will try to serve the best I can in this role as it's afforded to me currently.

The privilege to serve in this position is only possible by your endorsements so if you would prefer that Bearded Dragones continue to be the region's delegate, I completely understand and you can express your desire either on here, to me directly via telegram, or indirectly by withdrawing your endorsement of me. Regardless I will happily support Bearded Dragones as the region's delegate.

However, if you are willing to give me a chance, you have my thanks. I am not looking to enact any changes currently and am still trying to figure out the nature of the role. As of immediately, Bearded Dragones has been appointed the role of Vice-Delegate and be given all of the powers I can give an officer at this early point as a delegate. There will be no changes what so ever while I figure out my new responsibilities on the WA and to get my bearings.

At this time, there is to be no changes in how things are in the region. Moving forward, I may bring forth some ideas to get people's feedback, no differently than if I was not an officer or the delegate. And based on feedback, it may lead to changes that are desired.

I ask that at this moment, if you have endorsed me, and are willing to continue to support me, to please keep your endorsement of WonGya. Thank you for your support. And for those nations who are WA members but have not endorsed me, please to endorse WonGya for now, so that there is some level of stability while I figure out this role. If at any point you no longer feel that is deserved, you can certainly withdraw your endorsement at your leisure.

That's all for now. Thank you

As of today,  I am your new Recruitment Officer.

Rather than bothering you with a regional telegram, I want to provide this information on the RMB in an informal and friendly environment.

As a recruiter for the region, I have recruited over 100 new members since the last week of April.

In my time as a recruiter, I have come across some criticism from new nations as to why they chose another nation. Luckily, I have been able to steer some of them to other AA nations as a last alternative to joining us.

One of the number one complaints I've received is the lack of cross endorsement from WA members in our region. The worries of these nations is that the lack of endorsements and influence makes us an easier targets for invader regions.

Although it is not mandatory, I hope to see more cross endorsements to make our region more appealing to new nations.

If you have any questions for me or interested in helping with recruiting, feel free to ask here, send me a telegram or message me on Discord.

Bearded Dragones wrote:If I may have the attention of all of our World Assembly member nations...

The election for the World Assembly Secretary-General is currently taking place. The Cape is a place of free will -- I won't tell you who to vote for. But I do ask that you vote.

Representation is important, and it's up to each of us to do our civic duty, electing someone we feel is qualified for the office. The election is held in three Minor Rounds, and then the General Election, each lasting a day. While I recognize that familiarizing yourselves with all of the candidates is incredibly time-consuming (honestly, I haven't read them all either), I'd appreciate if you would read through a few campaigns and vote in at least one of the rounds, as your schedule allows.

Thank you for your time,

Your neighbor and Delegate,

BD
