[box][b]The Monarch's Guide to Wintreath I: The Discord[/b]

We’ve had a lot of new and returning members lately, and while we send out information when people join, sometimes it can be hard to keep up with it all when there’s so much coming at you. The creation of the Hearthkeepers has inspired me to write a quick summary of some Wintreath basics, in the hopes that you’ll check them out and even take part in them.

This week, I wanted to discuss our [url=https://discord.gg/V77hpFE]Discord chat server[/url]. It’s where most of our casual chat happens (How’re you? What’s going on in your life?), and we have spaces for everything from gaming chat to nerdy topics to talk about roleplay. It’s also where most chat about regional happenings and issues take place (in fact, being on Discord is a requirement for Cabinet positions). Finally, thanks to our awesome bot Zaphyr (created by Wuufu!), we have some awesome Discord games such as Cards Against Humanity. If any of those things interest you, the Discord is for you!

If you’re not on Discord, joining is simple...all you have to do is click the link and go from there. Once you’re on, check out the #rules-and-guidelines channel for rules and the #roles channel to personalize your account, get notifications for events, and access special areas of the server.

But the most important thing is to just start chatting. Say hey, give your thoughts on what’s being discussed, start a conversation, anything! Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. If you join and make 100 posts or more on the server, I’ll include your name here in our next edition as recognition for being an active Discord newbie. :D
