Eternal Suffering

I guess I should have known better.
When I was alive, I have recieved many warnings about the fate of those who stray from the True Path. All the skin burning, skull splitting, teeth gnashing...
...Eternal suffering....
...I was truly a fool. I believed myself to be above those 'tall tales'. I assumed that their stories were all made up. Created by some psychopath who decided to justify their rule through the supernatural. That the stories of God and His Angels were written by hallucinating buffoons. Perhaps I secretly hoped that science shall one day find that Celestial Dictator and damn Him to the same hell He prepaired for us.
I had no chance. Death came suddenly and mercilessly. I still remember the howling of the wolves. Those bloodied fur enraged dogs of Satan. They announced to me what awaits beyond, and even then I refused to repent. When they ripped my flesh, I closed my eyes and wished for eternal nothingness.
Oh how painful it was to awaken, and not in that forest. The dark red atmosphere is so hard to breathe, yet what other choice do I have? It's not like you can die here. You can lie and attempt to suffocate all you want. You never will. You never could. All you can is live.
And so live I do.
