A Raven's Tale: Book 2, Alpha and Omega: (1st Dispatch)

A hundred nights had passed. No night was greater than this.

The storm continued to shake the lighthouse, making it shake with rage as it stood still on top of the coastal cliff. Thunder roared and shook the earth with trembling howls. Water, color of dark blue-gray, rollers of the waves, dashed along the cliff side as it had done for centuries and generations. The tall cliffs provided the spacious look for the lighthouse during its days of use. Sailors, merchants, mercenaries, pilots; once all used this same lighthouse for guidance by its light. Now the lighthouse was dark and empty, its old and ancient lights now dim. No ships ever came. No maintenance ever occurred. The only friend of the lighthouse was the empty darkness and the howling wind.

The sky was yawning in a starless and moonless form. Rain poured down from the heavens, forming pools of water on the ground near the lighthouse, dark-gray water growing bigger by the hour.

Now though, two figures stood clashing in front of the lighthouse. One was decorated with a black uniform. The other had a brown leather jacket. Both had one thing in common, they had the Oceanic banner engraved on their uniform. They clashed. Fists flying. Rain pouring. Lightning in the distance. Both fighters were evenly matched. Hatred flashed in their eyes as a lightning strike hit the top of the lighthouse, sending sparks flying below them, which drowned in the rain.

"Your a good match," said the black-uniformed figure. "too bad we never could've worked together, Elias."

The two figures stood staring at each other. Neither had inflicted severe blows on the other so far. But that could change.

Elias pulls out a dagger from a pocket in his dark-brown pants, while keeping his gaze on his opponent.

"So are you Leuthen," Elias responds. "Too bad ill have to execute you right here. For treason."

Elias runs towards Leuthen, knife in hand, prepared to strike. Leuthen paces back a bit to allow Elias to get close. Elias lunges towards Leuthen's throat with his knife, allowing for Leuthen to use his left arm to grab Elias's hand and stop the lunge.

"Too slow," Leuthen smiles.

He swiftly has his right hand clenched in a fist swing towards Elias's face, knocking Elias with a powerful blow, allowing for Leuthen to loosen his grip. Elias also drops his knife in the process.

Leuthen's face shows a smile. His eyes flash with hatred as another strike of lightning hits the ocean waves from beyond the cliff area. "I respected you at one point, Elias." Leuthen laughs sadistically "It was a time when we both believed we we're right. When we both respected government—well you did—I believed you were my equal, people against the corruption that purges this world, hoping to make it better." Leuthen walks towards a stumbling and collapsed Elias. "But I was wrong about you. You're no better than the former president of Oceania, Willow Vinski. Wanting to hide her father's actions against the people of Oceania."

Elias whom was still on the ground looks back at Leuthen. Guilt flashes his eyes, memories fly, and sadness makes him move his head down. "I've done horrible things. That I can agree with. But me and Vinski have something in common. We would never betray our friends!" Elias leaps towards Leuthen, grappling both of his hands onto his neck, beginning to choke him.

Leuthen gasps for air, looking for something to grab onto. Immediately, his hand grabs something metallic, he swings his hand towards the thigh of Elias, slamming the object. Elias yells in fury as his dagger is plunged into his leg. This loosens his grip from Leuthen's throat, allowing Leuthen to kick Elias off.

"You betrayed General Nemo," Leuthen yells at Elias through the howling of the wind. "Don't think I never knew about that."

Leuthen saunters towards the groaning Elias. Dragging his arms towards the edge of the cliff. Elias tries to resist, but his attempts fail as his arms are unable to fight back, and his legs are weak.

"Goodbye," Leuthen bids farewell towards the weakened Elias.

The body of the brown-uniformed figure falls into the dark gray waters.

He stood walking through the woods. The search had not yet finished. Where was he? Eliezer came across a clearing, beautiful, with bloomings of flowers. Bees hovered and buzzed as they flew around the flowers bringing their pollen. Boulders were situated at the edges of the clearing, covered with moss and surrounded by ferns. Eliezer had never seen such a beautiful sight. The sunset streamed down from the branches of trees above, streaming Eliezer's black hair in a bright shine. The illumination of the sun brought a beautiful sense of peace and happiness.

But in the blink of an eye, the entire scene changed. Eliezer saw it in a heartbeat. There were bodies, motionless and rotten, flies surrounded them, maggots sucked on the eyes. Eliezer turned away, nearly vomiting with disgust. He attempted to run away, but his feet were glued to the ground; so he felt. He couldn't move his legs, they were stuck, gripped, and glued. He pulled with all of his might, strength, energy. But it was worthless.

He saw something towards him. The dark-black uniform of a soldier, carrying a machine gun in his hand.

*BAM!* *BAM!* *BAM!*

"Ahh!" Eliezer jumped from the nightmare. His head felt dizzy as if he'd bumped his head on something hard, but he couldn't be sure about it.

He looked around and stared. Noticing the dark white color of the walls around him, the hospital bed he was in, the medical gear that was around him, and throughout the room. He knew he'd been asleep for a long time. He just didn't know how long.

*Creak!* The door of the room opened in front of Eliezer. A male medic walked into the room, his green uniform showing him as a soldier.

Eliezer gave a sigh of relief. He wasn't stuck in an Anarchist facility.

"Had a nice rest?" The medic walks toward Eliezer, examining the gear around the bed, as well as examining the injuries. Eliezer doesn't respond. "I know what you're going to ask; however, I can't tell you much except that the Admiral wants to see you."

Eliezer was confused. Admiral? Eliezer had speculations this could be the Rowandale remnants. The ships he's been looking for this entire journey, and what got him in bad shape.

For the next four hours, different doctors and nurses came to examine Eliezer. They gave him a green uniform to wear, which was the same uniform worn by the first medic that Eliezer saw. Eliezer put on the uniform in one of the bathroom stalls in the medical hall. Since he had already guessed he was on a ship, he wasn't surprised when they escorted him across the ship through the deck. He saw the blue waves lapping at the naval ship he was on. The rays of the sun slammed brightly across the blue-clear waters, emitting a beautiful sight. The rays reminded Eliezer of his nightmare. He shuddered at the reminder of his terrifying vision.

Arriving at the front of the ship, he was escorted down several stairs which advance inside the ship. When they reach the bottom of the stairs they come to face with a hall going forward. One of the two soldiers opens a wooden door at the end of the hall, then stands guard. The other soldiers move Eliezer into the room and stand guard outside. They close the door as Eliezer enters.

Eliezer looks at his surroundings; no windows, pure concrete, no desk. There were only two chairs. One for the Admiral and one for him. There was currently nobody else in the room, so he just sits down on the chair to pass the time. He whistles, it feels nearly like an eternity. But soon the door creaks with the sound of a visitor.

Eliezer stares at the chair in front of him, not bothering to look back at who the person is. He knows exactly whom he is meeting.

"Welcome to the battleship Tau." The voice rings from behind him.

The Admiral walks towards the chair where she is to sit. Eliezer takes a good look at the visitor. A gray uniformed woman, officer cap on top, several naval badges patched on her uniform, and a long strand of brown hair falling from behind her cap. Thats strange. Eliezer wasn't sure if the naval officers of Rowandale used buns at all, or if this Admiral was just breaking her old code. She had olive skin, brown eyes, and the face of someone being a veteran of several battles. They seemed stern; so it seemed.

She sits down. "I'm sure you have a lot of questions," She hands Eliezer a photo. "Which I'll be happy to answer."

Eliezer grabs the photo and examines it. It's a photo of the littered bodies of the clearing. The prisoners. Jinha. Eliezer's corpse. . .

"Did anyone else survive?"

"No." She responds grimly. "It was just you. We found you barely breathing. There was a large sounding of alarms from the dockyard. We sent a couple of scouts on some dinghies. They searched for hours and hid for hours, but eventually found the entire dockyard empty. They followed the route you and the other prisoners took, and found your bodies, took photos, and brought you back."

She stops for a bit to let Eliezer examine the photo further. "Our doctor said you got shot twice in the left arm. Two shots in the center of your body, which avoided major organs. Your friends and prisoners took the major hits, however. The doctor said you hit yourself on a boulder when you collapsed. You probably have a headache."

Eliezer finishes looking at the photo. His mood and emotion drop into deep sadness. Jinha dead. His fellow prisoners dead. It's as if he had been cursed by Bahamut to remain alive to suffer. He had started this mission with enthusiasm, but he messed up by coming here.

"How long have I been in a coma?" Eliezer asks.

"Four days." The Admiral responds. "We noticed your uniform was patched with the Draganisian symbol. It's semi why the others decided to extract you when they found you still breathing."

As Eliezer is about to ask another question, an officer walks into the room.

"Admiral, you're needed at the starboard."

She looks at the officer and nods. She turns to Eliezer as she is about to leave with the officer out of the room. "We'll finish this conversation tomorrow. What's your name?"

"Eliezer." He responds. "Eliezer Alexander, from Oceania. I was enlisted by the Draganisians. . .its a long story."

"Well alright, Mr. Eliezer." The Admiral responds. "You can call me Admiral Tau."

She walks out of the room. Eliezer turns back to the empty chair in front of him.

"I hope I don't end up becoming stuck and confined to this ship for the rest of my existence." He mutters.

He'd found the Rowandale remnants, but he wasn't excited or enthusiastic. He didn't feel happiness. Jinha was gone. Helena and Snake Man were out of reach. Eliezer's instinct was to try and find a way off this ship to head back to the moorland, but he knew it was unlikely. He had no idea where he was. For all he knew, he could be in the middle of the Rowandale Sea.

Eliezer is escorted into a small cabin in the medical hallway. He's given a tray of food along with a tin cup filled with once bottled water. But he doesn't eat. He slumps onto the bed to feel miserable over himself.

His vow to Jinha felt worthless. He hoped his friend would have made it through the prison unharmed. However, this never happened; instead, all the prisoners and Jinha were dead because of a trap set by the Anarchists.

Eliezer rubs his right hand along his left arm. He touches the hard tracker which was worthless now, embedded in his skin. No aid was ever going to come from them anytime soon.

He fell into exhaustion and fell asleep.

The Final Preparations

Draganisia Royal Palace:

The Palace shook as explosions rocked the entire city. Their defenses returned fire against the airship fleet but they knew they wouldn’t be able to hold out forever because of how huge the attackers fleet was.

“Our forces are holding but they need help.” Jake said as they looked at the battle maps in the Military HQ.

Jesse had an idea. “Makarov is building up his forces on the coast in a large staging area along the beach and in the agricultural fields there. If we take him out it might be enough to turn the battle in our favor.”

Jake. “How?”

Jesse continued. “Our forces are also gathering on the outskirts of the city in order to counter against them. You and I will lead the charge and take out Makarov once and for all along with anyone who tries to stop us. We are going to kill them all.”

Jake. “A streight up assault. Let’s do it."

Brian. "I am coming. I'm sure Mara will be there as well and so if she is than you two won't be enough to stop her. She is my sister... If anyone is going to stop her once and for all than it has to be me."

Jesse. "I don't care what you do to Mara but I swear that Makarov will die here no matter what. This ends now."

They all transformed into their Dragon forms and joined their forces on the outskirts of the city getting ready to attack Makarov's position. But none of them ever expected... That it would end like this.

"My name is Amelia Charlotte Tang the Third, Queen of the Tang Islands, Lady Paramount of the Blue Tang Islands. . ."

Tang stood shaking uncontrollably as she stared beyond the hills where she stood. Her nerves and condition had worsened ever since she'd left the isles of the Tang Islands which were situated north of Oceania.

She'd been trying to control herself from her several nervous breakdowns with the help of her friends; Queen Alyssa Cinnamon of Cinnamon Hill, Sunheart Bailey Violetshine, and her sister Rebecca Bailey Violetshine. The three stood beside Tang to attempt to comfort her with words. Amelia felt no comfort with words though.

Rebecca Bailey wasn't royal, unlike her sister who was the Duchess of the Yellow Tang Islands. Rebecca was a skilled foreign investor, merchant, and had good knowledge within the field of psychology and medicine. Rebecca essentially operated as Amelia's doctor, with Amelia having lost her entire realm to the swarms of Dark Dragons.

"Keep repeating that," Rebecca encourages Amelia. "It'll help remove those thoughts of derealization. You're real and loved, Amelia. Always remember that." She says this in a soft tone to try and calm down Amelia.

Rebecca stares at the battlefield beyond them. Sounds of explosions and artillery fire are heard from the distance.

This battle could soon become a total loss for us.

She knew the Draganisians could gravely lose this battle. Thousands were already being evacuated and fleeing to the countryside to avoid the heavy fire within Draganisia City. When Amelia was being escorted by a truck outside the city, she'd seen the horrific effects of war. Children were placed into trucks and busses in mass, driven away from their families because the vehicles did not fit all the children.

Though Amelia had refused to leave the city, Emperor Brian had ordered it directly after seeing the condition that Amelia was in mentally. Rebecca felt pity for her. She'd lost so much and had not stopped mourning her mother and the rest of her family back in the Tang Islands. Amelia had been stuck on Draganisia ever since Prince David's ball on his eighteenth birthday. Though she'd been able to keep herself sane back then—since she was happier and cheerful.

Tang's depression had begun when the Infestation had first commenced. She fell into despair and grief, unable to rescue her friends and people whom were stuck back in the Islands. She fell into reminding grief for her mother, the former Queen Amelia Charlotte Tang II, the second queen of the Tang Islands. Devastated and heartbroken, Tang fell into a hard depression while in Draganisia. She nearly even started smoking cigarettes and drinking alcoholic drinks in mass before Sunheart and Alyssa Cinnamon rapidly put a halt to her dangerous consumerism.

Tang's tan-colored fleece and her dark-blue jeans were the only clothes that Sunheart and Alyssa had managed to pull out for Tang before they were evacuated. All four of them didn't have enough time to gather clothes and stuff, they had to leave as soon as they could.

"Is this entire world going to be ravaged by foes?" Alyssa stammered with distress in her voice. Her green eyes darkened with fear as she spoke. "I don't want to die by those dragons or invaders." She puts both of her hands in the two pockets of her brown coat.

Rebecca quickly responded to prevent Tang from speaking as she saw Tang open her mouth, "It'll be alright. The Draganisians are strong enough to drive off these invaders. St Abbaddon will never fall." She tried to show a smile but instead, she kept a neutral expression on her face.

Tang looked at the battlefield with dark and emotionless eyes. She then turned around in the opposite direction and went down the hill. Sunheart followed Tang towards the refugee camp that had been set up below. Alyssa and Rebecca had their own conversation.

"What'd Brian tell you?" Alyssa asked. "I saw those guards escort you towards the main court. Is everything alright?" Alyssa had concern in her eyes but mixed with fear.

Rebecca sighs. "He wants us to take care of Amelia. He's hopeful that Amelia has a part to play in the events happening around the world. If she kills herself. . . well, it wouldn't help his argument."

She expects a response from Alyssa but receives none.

Instead, they both look at the battlefield. Staring into the mist beyond, wondering what destiny's future awaits the two of them.

It'd been nearly a week since he arrived on board the Tau, and he still hadn't been able to talk himself off the ship. For one, the Leuthenists were moving closer to them day by day. Sooner or later, the Leuthenists would soon clash with them. And that meant Eliezer couldn't leave the ship yet.

Eliezer presumed that Admiral Tau overall didn't believe his testimony on why he was in Rowandale. Unbeknownst to him, Tau did actually believe—presuming him as a Leuthenist deserter at first. Though, she couldn't afford to let him leave, not in these waters; she also needed all the hands possible on deck, especially after a deadly wave of pneumonia broke out, killing and immobilizing a third of her battleship's crew.

Tau assigned him as part of a crew that helped manage the secondary batteries onboard the Tau. These secondary batteries littered the sides of the battleship and served as support firepower for the main batteries of the ship. He'd gotten along with the other five members of his small team. Iliadis, also known as "Ash" by the crew was the squad's commander, he led the squadron as he gave the orders to manage the naval cannons; Evi was just called her name, she was another member of the squad; Jessica, also called "Chara" was second to Iliadis, she was quite tough and rowdy; Hristos, was quite reserved but talkative with Eliezer, and then there was Tasos.

The squad just called him "Alexander" and nothing more. Stuff had not changed onboard the ship since he was placed into duty, carrying shells, loading them, fixing the naval artillery. The entire battleship crew was filled with worry. Unlike many of the other ships that formed the remnants of the Rowandale Self-Defense Forces, the Tau lacked any air defense as it was a battleship. So it now relied on old anti-aircraft mounts in order to help defend itself. Tau had spoken to the entire battleship's crew that they were to attend a meeting with the other admirals in a secret meeting area in the Rowandale Sea. Admiral Tau had diverted the ship westward, hoping to reach a small bay where the rest of the Rowandale fleets were hiding out and waiting for the Tau to arrive and begin the meeting.

"It's north of the Rowandale strait but far enough away where the Leuthenists won't patrol." She'd told the crew about her plan. "We should be safe enough in order to make our next plan against the Leuthenists."

"Turn starboard!" One of the officers called.

Immediately, the ship began turning on its right as it began heading north to enter a strait of water. This strait would lead directly towards the bay.

As the Tau moved through the strait of water—no longer moving to the right side, only forward—two small corvettes suddenly flanked the battleship. They provided an escort as the large battleship moved through the water, the sun gleaming on its compact armor, and the clear-blue water lapping the sides of the ship. Eliezer looked around at the surrounding areas of the strait. Walls of ancient soil and rock formed a natural canal within the strait, rubber and kapok trees sat still as they grew high within the barriers of the jungle, ferns grew from whatever side of the strait together with tall bush plants that even he was confused of what they were.

As he lost himself in the landscape, the ship suddenly docked. Hristos touches Eliezer's shoulder with his finger. "Come on we gotta start carrying stuff off the ship."

Eliezer nods and quickly heads toward a pile of crates already stocked on the larboard. Together he and Hristos take one crate after another until finally after several long hours, their entire pile is completely empty. They sit down on a metal bench located on the larboard and begin having a short chat about life in Oceania and Rowandale, and a comparison between the two. Soon though, Ash calls them both back to the squad and takes them to the campsite where the Rowandale defense forces are gathering.

They walk towards a large gathering of soldiers and officers alike, who have formed a circle around Tau and several other officers. Eliezer presumes they are probably admirals and rear-admirals in charge of other ships. As Eliezer stands behind the circle, Hristos calls him to sit down on a rotten log that is in hearing distance but behind the circle. He sits down and listens to the conversation. . .

"—fight we shall! Those Anarchists have already enslaved thousands of our fellow kin, but they will not take my head! Or those of my men!" An unknown admiral—Eliezer presumes—yells in a tone of fury and motivation but with slight fear as well in his voice. He opens his mouth to continue but is interrupted by Tau.

"We still have the option of peace," She cuts the admiral off. "We can still try and negotiate with the Leuthenists. Maybe they'll let us through the strait unharmed if—"

"And hedgehogs fly!" the admiral that Tau interrupted speaks up. "Leuthen will never negotiate with us. You know that Tau, just as all of us know. Your father left to go negotiate with that bastard, and now he hasn't come back ever since." He looks at Tau and her face reveals a hint of sadness. "I'm sorry...I—I shouldn't have said that." He lowers his head.

Tau doesn't say a word for a moment. Then she turns back to the admiral. "I'm sorry as well—sorry for not having saved them when I could have, Truvelo. I know how slaughtering Leuthen is what you after, after what they did to your family, but it's up to the rest of everyone to decide if we should sue for peace or fight." She turns to the crowd of soldiers. "Stand there if you wish to sue for peace," she points towards a rubber tree located not far from the log that Eliezer and Hristos were sitting on. "And over there if you believe we should fight." directing her finger at a shrub of golden bellapples growing below the shade of a tree.

People choose their side. Hristos chose the side to sue for peace, not even taking a moment to think. Eliezer takes his time. He tries to find some motivation as to why he should go for peace, but he couldn't find any reason. Jinha was dead, Simmons had gotten injured, he'd been tormented while in a concentration camp, he was nearly executed by the Leuthenists—the reasons just kept getting longer and longer. Eliezer knew what side he was taking.

He walked towards the golden bellapples and stood alongside the warmongers.

"It seems we have a vote," says Tau.

Two figures. A black-uniformed and well-decorated officer stood watching screens extending throughout the room of footage of the current naval advancements. The other was an amber-haired feminine figure, her eyes darting to every screen with keen interest.

"They underestimated us. They will soon pay. Blood for blood," the officer stood still. "Isn't that how it's always worked, Ms. Nelson?

"Aye Leuthen! That's how it's been done, and that's how it will always be done," Nelson responds. "However, Leuthen are you sure that we're not going to get tricked again?" She pauses for a bit to wait for a response. But all she gets is a vicious stare from Leuthen. "Sorry. . . I was just curious."

He sighs, "If Colonel Jackson doesn't screw up with air support, then I'm positive we will win. However Megan, if we somehow by a miracle lose this battle, we have no choice but to fully evacuate everything up north. That means we have to abandon any ships here. And we don't want that to happen, do we?"

Megan nods. "For the Union!" Her cheer is cut short by an incoming message that appears on the screen. She walks towards one of the computer monitors and suddenly a transmission comes through.

"Everything has been organized, the attack begins soon." — Admiral Totleben

She turns back to Leuthen. "Everything is prepared."

"Good." His eyes glinting off the screen reflections. "Very good."

As both armies gathered they all knew what was coming next. Jake knew the plan. “In order to keep them away from the city we have to stop them here. Our air forces will engage their Airship fleet while the rest of us take out their ground forces head on. If we fail here there will be nothing left to stop them from destroying Draganisia and everyone in it.”

Jesse however didn’t like how it was going. “There is still much more to this than we know. There has to be. I feel like this whole battle is just one big trap.”

Jake agreed in a way. “Because it is. If we don’t stop them here they will surround the city and wipe us out. We have to hit them now or else it’s already over.”

Brian went in front of all of them in his Dragon form and took out his sword from it’s sheath as on the other side of the field Mara and Makarov did the same.

Both armies readied their guns and other weapons as both armies charged at each other. One way or another it was going to end here… Or so they all thought.

The Main Tanks stayed back and we’re used as Artillery as air squadrons engaged each other overhead. This was the largest battle anyone there had seen since the Great Oceanic War at the very least.

As the armies fought each other Brian got into one on one combat against Mara while Jesse and Jake did the same against Makarov as their forces fought all around them.

Eventually Jesse and Jake were both knocked down hard by Makarov as explosions happened around them as the battle continued.

Makarov mocked them. “You really think that you can beat me? That you can stop the coming Darkness? No. You will die here and the Darkness will reward me with more power than you could ever dream of. I gave you plenty of chances to join us but you continue to refuse. Now I ask you one last time. Join us and we will bring Salvation to the entire Galaxy!”

“You know that is never going to happen!” Jesse answered.

“Yes I do.”

Jesse got up and felt renewed. He started attacking Makarov with a vengeance. It was getting harder for Makarov to block his sword attacks as the battle continued.

Eventually Jesse knocked Makarov to the ground as Jake stood next to him.

Jake. “I wanted to believe that a part of my brother was still in there. But it’s clear now that he is truly dead. Before we have our vengeance give a message to your Darkness masters.”

Jake then stabbed Makarov through the heart with his sword. “Tell them that we are coming for them!”

While Jake stabbed him Jesse then cleaved off Makarov’s head. “Nevermind. We will tell them ourselves.”

Meanwhile Brian continued to fight Mara but neither of them gained an advantage because they were too evenly matched. “I don’t want to fight you Mara but I can’t let you destroy everyone here either.”

When Makarov died it sent out a shockwave of energy. It looked like it weakened the other Dark Dragons near them or at the very least confused them? Was Jesse’s theory true? Had he been controlling them the whole time or at the very least had they been drawing power from him?

Either way it seemed to be enough to turn the tide of the battle as the Dark Dragons began to retreat even though Mara was still fighting.

“Its over.” Brian told her. “Stop fighting and we can still peacefully end this.”

Mara however didn’t believe him. “Is that the same offer you gave our father before you and Gladius stabbed him in the back?! I would rather die fighting than be executed like a coward!”

Brian. “If you don’t surrender now I can guarantee that you will die because if I don’t kill you than they will.” He said while pointing to Jesse and Jake who were both approaching with their swords still drawn. “Its over Mara! I didn’t want to kill our father but if I didn’t than he would have willingly gave us to the Darkness just like Makarov wanted to. Please don’t make the same mistake he did.”

--- A few hours earlier ---

Located deep in the southwestern forests of the Rowandale continent, a small group of twelve cloaked individuals were gathered round a large stone circle slab. nothing but a few torches lit the area that which they stood around.

Male Hooded Figure 1: The growing imbalance afflicting Abbaddon is beginning to take it's toll. The element of darkness, growing desperate to maintain its presence here, now hangs by a thread...

Male Hooded Figure 2: Should light continue its offensive, darkness will be destroyed. If that is to happen, there will no longer be an Abbaddon. the world will crack open from the instability, bringing an end to all life here...

Familiar Hooded Figure: ... We have always maintained solidarity from the conflicts of Abbaddon, however as these events have continue to transpire, we are now no longer able to ignore it. we now much act, lest this world be lost...

Hooded Figure 3: Doing so will risk us being made known to the world. such intervention must be covered carefully if we are to maintain our solidarity...

Familiar Female Hooded Figure: I am fully aware, and i do believe that i am capable of covering that without jeopardising our solidarity. I am a familiar face to most of the world, yet they do not know that i still live here in Abbaddon... I will intervene and repel light's offensive against darkness. Lest we all forget, it is our role here to maintain the natural balance of Abbaddon. we all have our affiliated elements to protect, darkness being my own to do so...

Female Hooded Figure 4: Agreed... Regardless of whether or not we remain hidden from the world, we cannot ignore the fact that our role is to prevent a cataclysmic imbalance of Abbaddon.

Male Hooded Figure 2: Then we are all in agreement? we are to intervene, but maintain our secrecy unless our options are depleted...

Male Hooded Figure 1: Go with strength, child of darkness...

At that moment, the familiar hooded figure departs from the stone table, the rest soon leave after. . . .

Mara didn't want to fight either but there was much more going on than any of them knew. She knew what she had to do even if they didn't like it.

Mara. "You really think I wanted this? Makarov manipulated us all and he paid the price for it but he was also a necessary evil to help fix the real problem. You betrayed us all. Instead of standing with us you killed your own family!"

Brian. "What our father wanted to do went against the teachings of Bahamut himself. After everything you have done you are lucky to have survived this long!"

Mara. "What I have done is necessary to save all of Abbaddon. Sometimes a few must die so that everyone else can live. You know that as well."

Brian. "Perhaps. But I will never let you destroy Draganisia no matter what stupid reason you come up with. And if you won't stand down than I will do what I must."

They fought some more with their swords and as Mara's forces continued to retreat Brian was able to knock her onto her knees. "I am sorry Mara. But if you won't back down than I will do what I have to in order to protect my people... No matter how much I don't want to."

He brought up his sword ready to execute her as she looked right into his eyes. "Do what you have to traitor!"

The stench of the cavern continued to wrinkle her nose with disgust. Rebecca watches as her sister, Sunheart, shifts to and fro within the confines of her sleeping bag. Sunheart wasn't exactly used to sleeping on a cavern floor. Meanwhile, Rebecca looked outside the cavern entrance, two soldiers standing guard, a bright lightbulb hanging off a wire at the cavern entrance. She saw rain pouring down outside of the cave. Rain means mud, she thought within her mind. Bahamut, please help the troops fight, she silently prayed.

It'd been two days—"two freakin days," Sunheart had said. Stuck in the cavern only waiting for a message from the Draganisian troops. Thousands of civilians had been evacuated to caverns, hideouts, bunkers, whatever else they could take people to. Inside this cavern was not just her sister and Queen Amelia but also dozens of more refugees and evacuees who'd been brought to this same cavern with them.

Queen Alyssa of Cinnamon didn't seem to mind the cold stone floor. She was buried in her red-white sleeping bag, already dozing off to the echoes of rain that sounded throughout the cavern. Rebecca envied her, wishing she could fall asleep just as she was.

"You still awake?" Sunheart's eyes peeled in her direction.

"Yeah," she responded. "I'm not tired."

"Same," Sunheart said. "The noise and smell in this cavern are horrible." She wrinkles her nose to signal her disgust.

"You get used to it after some time, I already told you," Rebecca responds, pissed.

Both sisters look at a sleeping Amelia along their side of the cavern. It'd been the first time she'd been sleeping for about a whole week. The last two nights, Rebecca and Alyssa were forced to take shifts to make sure Amelia didn't jump up and go stabbing everyone in the cavern. But luckily she was finally sleeping, peacefully.

"Was she always like this?" Rebecca asks, calmly. "Or was Amelia—"

"She's always had a problematic mental state," Sunheart abruptly interrupts. "For what it's worth, she used to be able to keep herself sane without aid. But this war and dark world has taken a toll on her head."

"Right—anyway... When do you think we're getting out of here?"

"The sooner the better." Sunheart turns around and buries herself within her sleeping bag.

Rebecca turns her head back to the cavern entrance. Her eyes squinting once more to adjust to the low amount of light coming from one lightbulb. The two guards were still there in the same position.

At this point, there was nothing to do but go to sleep. Soon after several unknown hours of trying to fall asleep, she's finally succumbed into dreams of peace.

This is How It Must End,

It was that very moment that a sudden clash of a heavy blade collides with Brian's sword, the sheer force of it was enough to knock him well away from Mara. As Brian was able to recover from what just happened, a hooded figure stood between the two, pointing a rather unique looking sort of blade at him, with a finger on what appears to look like a trigger. the wind soon catches up to blow the hood from the figure that stood between them, revealing that the individual was Sera, whom was thought had vanished with Maelstrom when both Dragonisia and Platinia was pulled from the dimension. She stared at brian with a steely gaze. an intensely strong aura of darkness surrounding her body... Was she on Mara's side...?

While Brian and the others were shocked to see Sera return he wasn't going to let that distract them from what needed to be done.

Brian. "This isn't your fight Sera. I gave her many chances to surrender in peace... The last one was a minute ago. She won't stop trying to kill us all because of what I had to do Thousands of years ago to stop my father from changing everyone... Something that unfortunately happened anyways when we failed to stop Makarov from doing it. Now she is trying to kill us purely out of revenge and nothing else... This is the only way to stop her now."

Sera made it perfectly clear that she was not going to let Brian and the others kill Mara. Her stance shifted a little to look even more reinforced, preparing for a fight against them. "No, I will not let you have her. You have caused enough problems to make it my fight... Either you stand down, or you cross blades with me..."

Brian however wasn’t one to just give up. "And why should we stand down? If she gets away she will simply return with more to try and kill us all. If you think you can change her... She will only stab you in the back!"

Mara then got up. "Says the one who stabbed me and our father in the back! You betrayed us just so you could keep humanity as your slaves instead of letting them become Dragons like us! If you didn't turn your back on our family we might have been able to stop the Flood without having to use the ARK Weapons! You are the reason they won and destroyed our Empire!"

Brian. "And you wanted to destroy humanity because of our brothers and sisters who died fighting their forces when their species first attacked us! It's always been about revenge for you since that moment and nothing you can say will change that!"

Mara didn't want to talk anymore. "Come on. Let's kill this traitor right here along with everyone who supports him. He is the reason our species almost went extinct and he isn't ready for if the parasite returns."

Brian. "What about our mother?"

Mara's face was a bit shocked but was now even angrier and Brian could see he hit a nerve.

Brian continued. "Yea. It was actually her plan to go against our father. She was the one who used the Trident of Abbaddon against him in that final battle. Apparently you didn't know that... Or just refuse to believe the truth that our father was not as good as you thought. She knew he was wrong but he never listened to us so we did what we had to in order to protect them."

Brian looked at Sera. "So do you want to help her destroy us purely out of evil spite? Or help us stop her from killing anymore innocent people? You and I both know she is doing this for the wrong reasons. If there was a way to actually stop her peacefully I would do it but as you can see she still refuses to back down herself."

Sera however didn’t care. "I'm not interested in what either of you have to say to each other. I have made it clear already to you, Brian. I will not allow you to kill Mara..." she maintains her gaze on Brian, but then addresses Mara "You are to stay put. You will only get in my way..."

Brian could see there was more to this based on her response. "So what you said was impossible has actually happened? The Darkness corrupted you so much that you are willing to destroy innocent people for your own selfish power. When are you going to realize that I don't really want to kill her at all? But I need to do whatever is necessary to protect my people and unless you have a better idea this is the only solution that will keep them all safe."

Brian got his sword ready as Jesse and Jake did the same. "I don't want to fight you or kill her but we will do just that if you continue to threaten me and my people. The Dark Dragons that were being controlled by Makarov have already retreated so you two are the only ones left. If you can get Mara to stand down now we can still end this peacefully. Convince her to stop once and for all and this will finally be over."

Jesse then spoke up. "He is telling the truth. She has already killed my wife and a ton of other innocent people. So if she doesn't Stand Down right now... If my father doesn't kill her than I will. The choice is yours to how this will end. If you can convince her to stop than I promise you we won't kill her. But if you can't... Than you know what needs to be done."

Sera. "I have my own agenda, which involves keeping Mara alive. Whatever this war you have with each other is not my concern, what matters to me is fulfilling my own duties... if that means having to fight you to stop you from killing her, then so be it..." The Dark Aura around her grows more intense. "Come, Brian. Prove your resolve to me..."

Truths and Lies

Brian would finally clash swords with her as his Dragon form was surrounded with fire that didn't burn him (Solar Light Energy). Not because he wanted to fight her or even Mara at this point. But because it seemed she wanted to fight him even if it had nothing to do with Mara. And he was curious as to why.

Meanwhile as they fought Draganisia forces surrounded them but Jesse told them to stand down.

As he looked at Mara he could see the lust for vengeance in her eyes. But also regret. Did she really have less control than he thought?

Jesse approached Mara as Sera and Brian continued to fight each other. It looked like they were evenly matched but something looked off. Were they both holding back their true potential?

"You didn't really kill Adria did you?" He asked Mara.

"No." Mara said. "But I didn't hold Makarov back either like I should have. I was just so focused on my revenge against Brian that I didn't care what Makarov did to hurt you."

"Why though?" Jesse asked. "I know he killed Emperor Galen but he had a good reason for that one."

Mara replied. "Wasn't just that. He killed my husband and daughter as well. My husband Lee was more of a politician. During a large battle in our Capital City a building my family was in was destroyed by his forces. They thought our father was there at the time but he really wasn't. So my family died because of bad Intel and Brian didn't care at all."

Jesse didn't believe that. "It has been Thousands of years since then. I'm sure he is not the same as he was then."

Mara didn't believe him either. "Perhaps. But you can see he still wants to kill me anyways."

Jesse was finally going to finish it. "Because you didn't give us a choice?! You are not the only one to lose your family because of this... I'm going to stop this now. No one else needs to die."

Jesse was ready to stop them from fighting but at the same time he didn't want to hurt himself trying to stop them.

Meanwhile Brian was curious as to why Sera wanted to fight him. "Why are you doing this? I can tell it's not to protect her. This is about something else. So what is it?"

Sera up until this point was toying with Brian. She jumped back a little to make some space between the two, then her arm suddenly sent a surge of dark energy went straight from her arm into the blade, and with one upward swing, the pulls the trigger, sending out that energy in one concentrated wave at Brian.

Brian used his Light Powers to create a shield against the blast and while it was enough to stop most of it... It wasn't enough to protect himself entirely.

The force of the blast knocked Brian back hard into the ground. He was knocked unconscious and was in really bad shape but he was still alive.

This part shocked everyone else including Mara. They all readied their weapons including Mara who got out her sword but the surprising part here was that she was looking at Sera just like the rest of them.

"Stop!" Mara shouted before Sera could move towards the unconscious Brian. "At first I thought this is what I really wanted but the truth is that I don't want it to end like this at all. I thought Brian was the one to blame for my family's death but as I think about it... It was really my fault. I stayed with my father because I believed he really did want to help everyone but the truth is he was just manipulating us for his own personal reasons that got him and my family killed in the end. If I had gotten them away from him... Maybe they would still be alive today. Please stop before it is too late. Not one more person needs to die today."

Mara was now standing by Jesse's side as she said this and was now finishing it herself. "It's over Sera. Steven thought he could control the Darkness as well but in the end it killed him and turned him into something truly evil. Please... Don't make the same mistake he did. And the one I almost did."

Sera just looked at both Jesse and Mara, her blade still in hand but lowered to her side "You all really don’t get it do you? Darkness itself isnt what corrupts people. It is the easy access of power itself that corrupts an individual... This war of Light versus Darkness has been naught but a lie that all of you have fallen into, and in turn have nearly brought the end of this world... Darkness hangs by a thread while those of evil intent continue to abuse it to the point of where it now suffocates..."

Sera then slings her blade onto her back. "The growing imbalance afflicting Abbaddon must be redressed. If it permitted to worsen, the very laws of existence, both aetheric and physical, will be warped beyond all recognition... Know you the root of this corruption? I think not, but the return of the wardens will ensure Abbaddon's recovery..."

She points at mara, her gaze piercing right into her "You are but one of whom I seek..."

Mara. "Why me? Like Steven I only tried to abuse the Darkness for revenge... A revenge that was false."

Sera "And yet you now stand right beside those who sought to kill you as well. While this result was not my intention at first, you now have a much deeper insight on what you really want for yourself.” she then looks down at Brian "He will be fine. If my intention was to kill then I would have done it at the very start. No, I merely tested him... since he too has a role in this..."

Jesse then told everyone to Stand Down and asked her the question they were all thinking. "So what now? What do we need to know about the Wardens?"

Sera folds her arms slowly "This is my own agenda to carry out. No one needs to know anything about it. You will only get in my way if you try to follow or help out... What you all need to do now is think about what i have said about this 'false' war of Light and Darkness... Will you all be the first to realize that it is nothing but a lie that you all have been tricked into believing? Or will you remain as puppets for the calamity that is yet to come should you continue to walk down that path of self-destruction...?" She looks over at Mara. "You are to come with me. If you want to make amends for all that has transpired, you will not object..."

Mara looked back at Brian who was now sitting up as he healed. He nodded his head.

"I'm sorry... For everything." Mara told him.

Brian. "It wasn't your fault. Sera is right about there being both Light and Darkness within all of us. But this has been going on long before any of us were born. And I don't think it can be stopped."

Mara then looked at Sera. "Ok. I will go with you and do whatever you need me to.."

Before they left Brian looked at Sera. "The fight between Light and Darkness does need to end. But denying the truth will only make things worse in the end. This is a cosmic battle that has been going on since the beginning of the universe and probably even before that. It can't be stopped easily... No matter how much we want it to."

Sera replied to that. "So long as there are those of evil intent who hunger for the easier power that Darkness provides, there will never be an end to it. It is up to those who are like myself to prevent the calamities that come about from such abuse... It is only the strongest of hearts that can hold such power and use it the right way... It is those with evil intent who give darkness such a horrible image." she turns herself away from the others "I hope that one day, All will understand this..."

Brian. "On that we can agree. Hopefully the next time we meet it is under better circumstances."

Just after the end of the Battle of Draganisia.

After Mara and Sera left the battle was finally over. With Makarov dead the Dark Dragons that were with him before… Seemed a lot less dark in a way. It was as if the people that they were before The Change had finally regained control of their bodies.

In the Imperial Palace Brian and the rest of them talked about what was happening and what needed to be done next. “We are getting reports from all over the world. They didn’t change back but they have regained control of their bodies. It seems that Makarov was controlling them since The Change and so when you killed him…”

Jesse agreed. “He lost control of them. So what now?”

Brian. “We rebuild. We fix what was broken and upgrade everything at the same time. Then we help everyone else in the world get back on their feet. They need to be ready for whatever comes next.”

Jesse. “What? Are you telling me this isn’t over yet?”

Brian. “It’s never over until we are dead Jesse. That is simply the way things will always be. There will always be new threats and we must be always be ready to do what it takes to protect our people. You will oversee the rebuilding of our military while I focus on helping our civilians. I’m counting on you to do what is necessary to make sure we are ready for whomever tries to kill us next.”

Jesse. “I always do.”

6 months Later. . . .

With the technology they had and the stuff Alexis was developing the Rebuilding took a lot less time than they thought it would. What used to take years to do now could be done in days. After a few months Draganisia City was looking better than ever and they have moved on to rebuilding other parts of the world as well.

But even then rebuilding places so far away from Draganisia ended up being a bit more challenging than they thought it would as some evil people didn’t like what they were doing.

Oceania, Hard Coast, Joint Military HQ

Jesse and Jake were under heavy machine gun and artillery fire as they defended the base against those who they believed to be Anarchists.

Jesse. “These guys just don’t know when to quit.”

Jake. “We have been helping the Oceanics rebuild for a few months now. You would think they know we are here to help by now?”

Jesse. “Well these guys were against the Oceanic government even before the Dark Dragons Attacked so what did you expect?”

Jake. “Are you sure about calling them Dark Dragons? Remember after the Battle your father gave a big speech about how there really are no Light or Dark Dragons and that it’s all based on what we choose to do with our lives.”

Jesse. “Yea well they were under Makarov’s control so I will call them what they were at the time. I don’t care if it’s “politically correct” or not. Anyone that has a problem with that can kiss my…”

Jake. “Ok how about we focus on destroying these guys trying to kill us.”

Jesse. “Already ahead of you.” Jesse then contacted an Airship that they had stationed nearby. “Spirit of Bahamut this is General Prince Jesse. Can you hear me?”

Admiral Long. “This is the Spirit. Your base is surrounded by enemy forces. I assume you need me to deploy Dragon Squadron to destroy enemy positions?”

Jake answered. “Yes that would be helpful.”

Admiral Long. “Ok they are on their way. Hate to be the Anarchist bastards that were stupid enough to try and attack you today.”

The Draganisia Strike Fighters would hit their targets with precision attacks using missiles and laser guided bombs.

Jake smiled as they saw the explosions where the Anarchists were. “I love the smell of burning terrorists in the morning.”

Jesse however wasn’t smiling. “They are getting bolder. Stronger attacks than they ever did before. Could just be desperate at this point… Or there is still something else going on.”

Jake. “And they were not just attacking us. Apparently our forces in Rowandale have reported a strong Anarchist presence there as well.”

Jesse. “They are searching for something. Something that they think we have.”

Jake. “And what would that be?”

Jesse. “Its our job to find out. Let’s move.”

A month after the Battle of Draganisia. . . .

It was Dark with a nighttime thunderstorm. A Dragon with Red and Black Armor is chasing another Dragon with Black and Orange Armor over the rooftops of the Draganisia Imperial Research Institute. It was the main scientific R&D facility for the Draganisia Government built during what is now called the Dark Dragon War.

Eventually the Dragon being chased is cornered next to a cliff next to the Ocean.

“Stop running.” The one chasing him said. “Zed I know you don’t like what is going on here but you have to understand why we are doing it. Everyone here volunteered for this. They all lost people they loved during the War and so did us. I lost my mother and you lost yours as well.”

Zed didn’t care. “And you think that justifies the experiments you are doing here to your own people… What you did to me?!”

The other Dragon was Prince David. And Yes he did believe that they were necessary. “We need to do whatever it takes to make sure nothing like that happens ever again. Mistakes will be made but we can’t let that stop us from doing what we have to in order to protect the people of Abbaddon.”

Zed still wasn’t going to listen. "My people are not a mistake! Your father pushed us to this moment long ago when he betrayed us. And yet you wonder why my people hate you? You say it's worth it but that is just what you tell yourself to try and stop the nightmares. The truth is that they will never stop. You are all going too far. My mother was a Queen! She would have brought peace to Oceania and the rest of Abbaddon but your father killed her because she didn't like your Draganisia interfering with what was none of your business! In the end we will show the world the truth to what you are doing here and when we do you will be the one who is hunted!”

Zed then flew away and David let him go. When the others asked David what happened to Zed he didn’t say a word.

Little did David know at the time that letting him go… would be worse than if he just killed him.

An armored truck arrives at a large military facility known as Falcon Base during the night.

Two of the facility's guards discuss one of the truck's passengers named Sam, who was recovered from an injury during the Battle of Draganisia thanks to cutting-edge robotics.

“Seriously. They say he is mostly robot now on the inside. He was injured bad enough that even his Dragon Healing couldn’t help him enough.”

“So how does it work?”

“Nanobots. Robots as small as cells that can replicate and create more of themselves if needed. They can also transform into whatever they need to.”

“Sounds more like magic than science.”

Sam’s truck pulled up next to them as soon as they finished the conversation and quickly let him through. He is transporting an Ancient Empire artifact to the inside the facility, where several more guards are seen for added security.

“What is this thing?” Sam asked his mother Alexis who was the Lead Scientist for all of Draganisia.

“Even I don’t know the answer to that one Sam. But I will after doing some tests on it.” Alexis told him.

Outside the entrance, a pair of guards discuss their concerns over the artifact, fearing that its presence will invite trouble.

“Seriously that thing is bad news. What if it destroys this place?”

“Than it’s a good thing we are out here and not in there.”

Suddenly, a heavily-armored (Blue and Silver colored) soldier named Derick appears before them forcing the two guards to open fire. Derick quickly kills the pair and blasts his way inside the building using his strength and speed. As the guards attack in retaliation Derick fights back, easily overpowering them with his super strength. Sam arrives with reinforcements and orders his crew to fire at Derick.

“Kill Him Now!” Sam shouted.

The guards land a direct hit on him with a rocket launcher. Unfortunately, Derick emerges from the blast unharmed and transformed into a Dragon and his armor changed with him to still cover him completely. Derick then leaps into the air and ground-pounds into a lower hallway, making his way toward the alien artifact while Sam chases him after transforming as well.

As more guards stand in defense a pink and black-armored soldier named Vinski suddenly teleports herself into the hallway and uses her sword to dismember the guards weapons from their hands. As the guards fight back with their fists Vinski uses her teleportation abilities and sword to kill each one of them in quick succession.

“This is way too easy.” She says.
Sam attempts to flank the two enemies but they quickly get him at gunpoint.

“Luckily for you we don’t have to kill you to get what we want. However you still need to tell us where the artifact is.”

“You know I won’t ever do that.” Sam replied.

“Yea I know.”

She was about to kill him with her sword but is forced to teleport away when a shotgun is pressed against her head, wielded by Alexis who was now in her teal colored armor. The four then engage in combat, with Alexis facing Vinski and Sam battling Derick. Unable to keep up with their enhanced strength and teleportation skills Alexis and Sam are overpowered and knocked out by the enemy duo, who blast their way into the room where the Ancient artifact is held.

Vinski and Derick stand aside as their Leader Zed enters the room and has his two partners attack Alexis some more because she refused to back down.

Zed. “Make her suffer but don’t kill her.”

The facility was now up in flames as Zed and his team steal the artifact and take an unconscious Sam with them. Vinski then knocks out a weakened Alexis while mocking her some more before leaving with her crew.

“In the end you all will suffer as we have.” Vinski says as they walk away.

The trio torture Sam for information on the Temples that supposedly hold the key to some sort of ultimate power, but he refuses to talk.

“You will have to kill me before that ever happens.” Sam said to them.

“Oh we will. But not here and not now. I want you to witness the end of your Draganisia but that only works if you are still alive when it happens.” Zed said in response.

Vinski and Derick used a dagger to force the info out of Sam as the dagger itself caused excruciating pain.

Zed makes his way back down the building while easily killing any remaining guards along the way. Vinski then informs him that they have the coordinates. As a result Zed destroys what's left of the facility and teleports away.

"I remember everything about the day I was born. I still bear the scars from it. The Dragons of Algaria are my people now and I am their Queen!"

— Myvneth, Dragon Queen of Algaria, Daughter of Bahamut.

——————————————————————————

Dragon City of Algaria, Area Unknown. . . .

Many Dragons of different sizes in shiny Teal colored Armor began fighting against Dragons and Human Soldiers who were wearing Black and Red Armor and were trying to attack the Golden City between the Ocean and a Cliff that was much taller than the buildings of the city.

The leader of this invading army was none other than Zed who was there to steal a key to finding the Ultimate Power he was looking for.

"We fought to keep our beutiful city safe. But now this beast has come claiming to be the new King. Myvneth bows to no one!"

As his forces made it to the Palace, Zed would go inside with them and fight against Myvneth one on one while their forces fought around them. While the weapons the Algarian forces had were more advanced Zed had the advantage with sheer numbers and overall brutal strength and agressiveness.

Zed: "You know what I am here for. And you know you won't be able to stop me from getting it one way or another. Surrender your sword to me and we will leave your city."

Myvneth: "I cannot do that. You are messing with forces far more powerful than you can comprehend. There is far more in the Universe beyond the forces of Light and Darkness. And if you continue down this path you will alert them to our presence here and they will come to destroy everything you know and love."

Zed: "When I am done nothing will be powerful enough to defeat me. You can either join me or be crushed by my army. The choice is yours."

Myvneth brought out her sword in a defensive stance. "You already know my answer."

Zed. "Yes I do." He began to attack her with his own sword. Although she could block most of his attacks the sheer force of them was enough to weaken her with each strike. Eventually they were too much for her and Myvneth was knocked to the ground and dropped her sword.

It landed right at Zed's feet and he picked it up. He could feel energy surge through him as he touched it and his Dragon form grew a bit bigger. "I am doing what is necessary to end all wars on Abbaddon. Sometimes the only way to do that is to end the Old World before you can start the New one. You saw this firsthand when your Ancient Empire fell. In the end you will thank me... If you are strong enough to survive."

Zed and his forces then left the city as quickly as they arrived. However the damage had been done. A good portion of it was in ruins but there was still enough power for Myvneth to send a message to her son in law.

"You and I both know how this will end if he is not stopped Brian. We've known since long before I first helped you defeat your father. Do what must be done to keep our people safe!"

"It is all up to you now."

After getting the message from the Algeria Queen both Jesse and Jake would head there in order to assess the situation.

“A city this beautiful shouldn’t have to suffer like this.” Jake said as Myvneth showed them the damage being repaired.

“We have been through much worse before.” She replied while looking at a nearby building that was heavily guarded.

“What is in there?” Jesse asked her.

Myvneth answered. “I’ll show you.”

The guards let them through into the large building that was built more like a fortress instead of a civilian building. However instead of protecting from the outside… it was really the opposite. More like a prison in a way.

Myvneth then told them why. “5000 years ago my empire spanned over the known world. I was trying to bring back the Ancient Empire in a way and nearly succeeded… Until they attacked.”

On the wall in front of them was a large painting of a battle. Those the Algarians were fighting against looked like the Dark Dragons… but something was different. They looked a lot more evil overall.

Myvneth. “We call them Demons. They used to be soldiers and civilians of the Dragon Empire… until Galen turned them into something more dark and evil than anything you have ever faced so far. It was a last ditch attempt to win the war and stop the fall of his empire. Instead he created something that nearly destroyed everything until we managed to stop them and drive them back into their tunnels under the surface of Abbaddon."

Jesse. “Sera says that the Darkness isn’t evil yet I don’t think she faced these Demons.”

Myvneth. “That is where you are wrong. Without her we wouldn’t have been able to stop them… And it nearly killed her in the end. But if you want the rest of that story you would have to ask her yourself.

She is also correct about the Darkness not being evil itself. In the end it is merely a tool that we can use against our enemies. And just like with the Light it has been used to create weapons that couldn’t be controlled. That is what the Demons are. Nothing more than weapons he couldn’t control and now they infest the subterranean tunnels of Abbaddon. If they were to ever launch another coordinated attack… I fear no one would be able to stop them. Not even you.”

Jesse. “I know there is more to this that you are not telling me. But I can’t do anything about that now. Let’s focus on what we can stop. Why is Zed doing this?”

Myvneth answered. “He seeks the power of Abbaddon’s Trident. But without our 3 keys he won’t be able to access the Temple where we hid it. He attacked the city and took mine. Next… I’m afraid he will go after your father’s and if he gets that one than all he would need after that is the third one.” She said as she looked at the sword that Jesse had.

“Where is the third one?” Jesse asked her.

“It is best not to worry about that as long as you can stop him before he gets the one that your father has.”

Jake then told him what was going on. “Your father is at a public charity event in Downtown Draganisia right now… It would be the perfect moment for Zed to attack them.”

Jesse knew what needed to be done. “We have to warn them before it’s too late!”
