Distinguished Service Medal Day
Tomorrow, August 14, we recognize the recipients of the 10,000 Islands Distinguished Service Medal. This award is given to XKI citizens - whether Knight or civilian - for long-term and outstanding leadership to either TITO or to the 10,000 Islands. As the Distinguished Service Medal is the highest award available to civilian nations, those who bear this commendation are truly deserving of our appreciation and admiration.
Due to the age of the records and the fact that they are sealed under TITO jurisdiction to protect the secrecy of military operations, The Breaking Wave was not able to obtain or publish information concerning the details under which these honors were presented. However, please join us tomorrow in thanking the following recipients, past and present, for their loyalty and service to our region.
