Anton Vaher Gusev, PC (born 12 July 1976), is an Abalskan politician who has served as Secretary of the Slevennic Politican Union since 2023. He previously served as Prime Minister of Abalsk from 2019 to 2022, as Leader of the Liberal Conservative Party from 2019 to 2022, and as Deputy Prime Minister of Abalsk from 2018 to 2019, while serving as a Member of Parliament from 2007 to 2022. He describes himself as a progressive conservative with his premiership seeing continued support for welfare programs whilst enacting socially conservative policies.

In 1998, Gusev began work as an advisor within the National Constitution Party. For the 2002 General Election he was a parliamentary candidate for the National Constitution Party in the Grigolia and Bralica seat but failed to be elected coming second in his constituency. He continued to work within the party and was re-selected as a candidate for the 2007 General Election in the same constituency. In this election he won a seat in Parliament and entered into the National Constitution Party's parliamentary group which was in the unofficial opposition at the time. At the party's national conference in 2010 Gusev was announced as the party's deputy leader. He served in this role for the 2012 General Election which saw a poor performance for the National Constitution Party and the loss of several seats. Due to the party's poor performance in the general election Gusev resigned as deputy leader.

The years following the 2012 election saw a continued decline of the National Constitution and by 2014 a number of the party's few remaining MP's had defected to other parties. In 2015 Gusev defected to the Liberal Conservative Party and joined the official opposition. In 2016 he was appointed as Shadow Secretary of State for Education and served in this position through to the 2017 General Election which saw a narrow victory for the Liberal Conservative Party. Gusev was brought into the new cabinet as Secretary of State for Education due to his success in opposition as Shadow Secretary. As Education Secretary he oversaw the Government's support for vocational subjects and pushed for further reform on secondary level schooling.

In 2018 Gusev was appointed as Deputy Prime Minister in a cabinet reshuffle, whilst retaining his role as Education Secretary. He served in this appointment for less than a year until the resignation of then Prime Minister Andre Kuselk in June 2019 due to him having become enthralled in a lobbying scandal. Gusev was elected as party leader by the party's MPs and was appointed Prime Minister by the King on 20 June 2019. The first six months of his term saw a dramatic collapse of public support for the government due to Gusev's predecessor's actions. In December 2019 war broke out between neighbouring Yemet and the Five Kingdoms. Gusev was quick to condemn the Five Kingdom's invasion but did not commit any troops or material support to Yemet. Upon the end of the conflict in early 2020 Gusev's government did not recognise the treaty signed or the occupation of Listovia.

Domestically Gusev continued support for several welfare programs started by the previous left leaning government and set out to limit the spending of several government departments. Socially he implemented a number of conservative policies including the restriction of abortion access and scrapping of several diversity programs implemented by the previous government. He also continued work on education by introducing civics studies to the curriculum and expanding access to free school meals.

With an election due in 2022 Gusev set out to re gain the trust of the electorate following the scandals of his predecessor and created a new independent commission to investigate instances of parliamentary corruption or misconduct. The polls leading up to the 2022 General Election consistently showed the Liberal Conservative Party behind and this carried through into the voting with the party losing its majority and Gusev conceding defeat early in the morning the day after the election and resigning a few hours later. He would remain an MP for a further two months before resigning from his seat in December 2022.

Following the creation of the Slevennic Political Union in November 2023 Gusev was elected by the Slevennic Council, a body made up of senior ministers of the member states, to become the first Secretary of the new union. He was knighted in the King's New Year's Honours List, the ceremony took place on 4 January 2024.
