Green Sky Terror Event Begins in ATA
Rumors of the impending roleplay events have proven true as Senator for Himes West 
AxeCapital and the RP Commission have announced a new RP narrative in A Taco Archipelago (ATA). The event, dubbed "Green Sky Terror", is a conflict between rogue terrorist nations and the anti-terrorist factions assembled to oppose them. Set against this is a massive interplanetary war which flared up without warning between two of the solar system's largest empires, while the survivors of a third old warmonger bides its time to seize past glory.
Green Sky Terror promises to be a great opportunity for XKI nations to jump into the well-established ATA universe and establish a niche for themselves. The narrative features several different factions, each competing to shape the future of the solar system while trying to survive the stomping from the two giants in the playground, Margaux and Krystalveil. Which faction will your nation join? Will you be a force for good, or for awesome? Will you impose your will through diplomacy, or trade, or military might? Join the game and write your nation's destiny in the Green Sky . . .
Two ATA Superpowers of Terra (Earth), Krystalveil and Margaux began an unexpected war with each other that would prove to be a system-wide catalyst for further chaos. As millions of casualties accumulate, Krystalveil's Death Star Superweapon Aion is activated near the Sun, and starts casting a green light onto the Solar System, throwing the system under a green light cast everywhere.
Meanwhile, a catastrophic event engineered by the collaboration of various terrorist groups in Terra (Earth): Al-Caeda, Kalatova, and Committee for charity and solidarity, led to the creation of a highly unstable dimensional portal at the edge of the solar system. The portal's creation was a result of the terrorists' cunning manipulation of stolen advanced technology and arcane artifacts stolen from various nations. This portal possessed a sinister attraction, absorbing >50% of the populations of nations across Terra and the rest of their colonies scattered throughout the Solar System into another dimension. When the portal finally closed, these terrorist groups had taken advantage to occupy many devastated lands across Terra and the Solar System claiming over 70% of the lands across Terra.
In the aftermath, three Counter Terrorist Factions were formed to combat these vile organizations and retake the lands from the perpetrators. However, without the assistance of the two superpowers (Margaux and Krystlveil) and the loss of countless nations, these Counter Terrorist Factions will need to build up their strength by recruiting new nations as members to combat the terrorists and retake all the land on Terra and the Solar System. Under the cover of a green sky, the War on Terror rages with the Counter Terrorist Factions on a mission to secure the lands back from terrorist threats. Join the Fight!
1. Recruit: Due to their vast numbers it is estimated that each Faction needs at least 10 members, and all three factions together need at least 50 members to win the War Against Terror.
2. Fight: Factions may choose to work together or even against each other, abiding by their Factions Leader's instructions.
3. Claim Lands: Faction Leaders will coordinate with their members on recruiting new members, attacking terrorist targets, and distributing new lands captured to their members.
4. Use Advanced Technology: All terrorist Groups have access to Level 6 Scientific Advancement. Factions have SA sharing with their own members

What is Roleplay?
Welcome to 10000 Islands (shortened to XKI)! Roleplay is a major part of our region. Now, you might be wondering: what is roleplay? Roleplay is anything done In Character (IC) with other nations. That means that you take on the personality of your nation, or any person/thing other than yourself. This is different from Out of Charecter (OOC) discussions where you talk as yourself, the person playing a game called NationStates. You can RP just about anything including detailed worldbuilding of your nation, wars with fellow islanders or even build your own nation political system!
Where to Roleplay
XKI offers roleplay across 3 different platforms: NationStates (ATA & ATF), 
Discord, and our Forum. You can choose the one you like the best!
NationStates: XKI is one of the only Regions in NS to host its very own exclusive Roleplay regions. That's right, entire regions just for roleplaying! By having a nation in XKI, you are given access to post on the regional message board of these roleplay regions (you do not have to move into the region). These regions is open to everyone in XKI to join and participate in! SKI currently has 2 roleplay regions:
A Taco Archipelago (abbreviated to ATA) is our first dedicated roleplay region, and one of the largest roleplay regions in the game! It is a science-fiction themed roleplay set in the far future.
A Taco Fantasy (abbreviated to ATF) is our second dedicated roleplay region. It is a fantasy and magic-themed roleplay set in medieval times.
Discord: You can join our discord server here (https://discord.com/invite/10000-islands). Once you get in, follow the instructions on getting registered and ask for access to the roleplay section. Note that your will need to be above the age of 13 to create an account in compliance with child privacy regulation.
The forum: Our XKI Forum (10000islands.proboards.com) is home to a roleplay area as well. You can find it here. You will need to confirm a forum account to post there, which you can do here. A Taco Archipelego
A Taco Archipelego (ATA) is a science-fiction themed roleplay, where people come together for future tech, fast-paced role-play, here you can colonize other solar systems, fight in space battles and participate in character-driven roleplay. With hundreds of monthly active users, you will always have an avenue to let your imagination run free on the A Taco Archipelago Regional Message Board. There is also an ATA channel on our XKI discord here where participants can have faster-paced roleplays or roleplay with smaller groups. Additionally there is also a ATA sub-board in our XKI forum (here). Participants on this platform can have more specific and focused roleplays.
A Taco Fantasy
A Taco Fantasy (ATF) is a medieval fantasy roleplay, where people come together for magic, wars, and kingdom-building role-play. The world of ATF is a complex and diverse place, filled with hundreds of different sentient species that have evolved in a wide range of environments, adapting to their surroundings and developing unique abilities and traits. One of the most fascinating aspects of this world is the way in which these species have learned to harness different types of magic, using their innate powers to manipulate the world around them and achieve their goals. Ultimately, the fate of the world of ATF is up to you! As you explore this rich and vibrant world, you'll have the opportunity to shape the destiny of its inhabitants, forging alliances, building kingdoms, and shaping the course of history. With so many different races and magical abilities to explore, the possibilities are truly endless, and the only limit is your imagination and what you come up with on the A Taco Fantasy Regional Message Board.
