Considering the innate right to life of an individual essential, Johannes land recognizes that the inverse must also be true. Given that an individual has absolute liberty over their own life, the only way for that liberty to be full is if they are able to end their life of their own volition. Until now, it has been a criminal offense to take one's own life, and those who have attempted suicide were potentially given prison sentences. We now recognize that the only thing criminal is the fact that this right has been denied.
Thus, it is declared today that all the following reforms shall take effect:

• All previous legislation criminalizing citizens attempting suicide or citizens/corporations aiding in suicide shall be null and void.

• All previous legislation criminalizing the sale of euthanasia services shall be null and void.

• All citizens serving prison sentences for attempted suicide or aiding in suicide shall be pardoned.

• All citizens/corporations previously fined for attempting suicide or aiding in suicide shall be financially compensated.

• Euthanasia services shall be funded in government hospitals.
  

May this legislation unearth liberties and rights of the Johannian people which have been unfairly obstructed by governments thus far.
