The Federal Republic Air Force

The Air Force is the main combatant when it comes to air combat and tactical operations. While the Army, Navy and National Guard operate some kind of air defense, the Air Force is the only branch designed and operated around the idea of air operations only. The Federal Air Force commands a majority of its units and assets out of Caylindale Air Force Base, although it does have a secondary Air Command in Stryker Air Force Base.

The current commander of the Air Force is General of the Air Force Victus Colston, with second in command as General Air Force Chief of Staff Andrew Vilma. There are currently 88,000 active duty personnel with 22,000 reserve duty.

List of Air Forces

A Numbered Air Force (NAF) is a type of organization in the Federal Republic Air Force that is subordinate to a Major Command (MAJCOM) and has assigned to it operational units such as wings, squadrons, and groups. A Component Numbered Air Force (C-NAF) has the additional role as an Air Force Component Command exercising command and control over air and space forces supporting a Unified Combatant Command. Unlike MAJCOMs, which have a management role, a NAF is a tactical organization with an operational focus, and does not have the same functional staff as a MAJCOM. Numbered air forces are typically commanded by a major general or a lieutenant general.

Numerical designations for Numbered Air Forces are written in full using ordinal words (e.g., Eighth Air Force), while cardinal numerals are used in abbreviations (e.g., 8 AF). Units directly subordinate to a NAF were traditionally numbered 6XX (where XX is the NAF number). For example, the 618th Air and Space Operations Center (Tanker Airlift Control Center) is a unit subordinate to the Eighteenth Air Force. This is no longer completely accurate, due to regular reorganization of Wings and Numbered Air Forces

The First Air Force is a numbered air force of the United States Air Force Air Combat Command (ACC). It is headquartered at Caylindale Air Force Base. Its primary mission is the air defense of the Contiguous Federal Republic.
Size: 15,000 airmen

The Second Air Force is a FRAF numbered air force responsible for conducting basic military and technical training for Air Force enlisted members and non-flying officers. The Second Air Force is stationed at Kaleb Air Base.
Size: 13,900

The Third Air Force is a numbered air force of the Federal Republic Air Forces in Razoria. Its headquarters is Kalska Air Base, Razoria. It is responsible for all F.R. air forces in Razoria.
Size: 11,000
